I have a section on a form that requires the user to select a Date and select a time.
So I have the Bootstrap DateTime Picker and a single textbox in Razor for DateTime.
You click or touch the calendar to select the date. But not sure how to select the time.
I'm not sure how to design this.
Option 1: 1 textbox for date and time, and somehow use the textbox for both.
So some how develop a interface to select the date and time in 1 textbox.
Option 2: 2 textboxes, 1 for date and 1 for time.
But in the model, and after searching, if I declare the field as DateTime which is the only option, I have to use date and time together. So I use a single DateTime object in the model and try to work the 2 in parts Date / Time
My question is how you guys doing this? As far as the Model and interface goes?

I decided to just try DateTime for the Model, and created a textbox for DateTime.
Then fully implemented BootStrap.Css DateTimePicker. At the time of first writing, I wasn't getting the icons in the calendar, and didn't know about the time picker. I was using Font Awesome, and the fonts were not showing up. So I went back to the JQuery, and programmed the font awesome fonts into the calendar.
I'll see how it goes and how many complaints I get from it. I may go back and try to separate the the Date and Time, split time by hour and minute later in the future, and see if I can assemble and disassemble the values to and from DateTime.

Hi,
I've been all over the internet trying to resolve this issue for a few days now and nothing I do makes a difference. Even what was suggested here, at this site, doesn't work. (Being new to all this is a handicap as well.)
What I'm trying to do is reload the page after an interval.
I get the error at this line: 'function BeginTimeOut()'

No, it won't do that. That is the function declaration. It may be in that function but you have 3 lines. You need to debug this and find out what is null.

Hi all.When I create a new Website project in Visual Studio. IT creat the .mdf file in the project.
I don't know where is the configuation of the the connection string to change it.
I have look at the Web.config but I can't see.

When I register a user i see the connectionstring in the webconfig

To know Connection String to connect Backend to frontend.
right click on your .mdf file ----> go to properties ----> a property window will open (here is a property name connection String where u get your connection String)
new copy this connection string and paste it in web.config file connection String element

OK, I know the connection string now.When i use login control it use default connection string.How can I Change to tell the login control "Don't connect to this database, connect to my database".

Hi all. I Use a Visual Studio then File -> New -> Website
(Using C# code)
In the Solution Explore I creat many folder.
MasterPage Folder to hold all MasterPage.
Images Folder to hold all Images
UserControl folder to hold all page related to User such as Login, Registration.....
And the problem is that how to display images in the masterpage,......
Please help me.

Inthis I have too masterpages, Insite for pages if you have logged in and outsite for others.These masterpage is at root.And Insite.master is the copy of outsite.master added something in menu.
The Problem is Default.aspx use outsite.master can show the picture.But Home.aspx use Insite.master can't show the pictures.
Please help me Why?
Outsite.master and Insite.master is almost the same.
Home.aspx and default.aspx is at the same folder and.

i have a scenario where in i require to create a dynamic grid view in asp.net using c# on the basis of value selected in a drop down list.
to brief it
my project is about asset management
when i select an asset in the drop down list its attributes(for. eg. Make of the asset, model, category etc) should populate in the grid view column1 dynamically plus corresponding text boxes in front of it. please reply urgently m sitting on a project deadline

Sure.
- Populate the dropdown on page load via list action on your asset controller. Set the text to a descriptor and the selection value to an ID.
- Attach a local JavaScript event handler to the dropdown OnChange that will query your asset controller with the ID of the selected value via AJAX. I'd call it goGetMyStuff() or something, and the controller action can be ActionResult GotYourStuff().
- Populate the table with the values derived from the data returned from your AJAX query.
- Bask in the glory!
Seriously, though, you need to be much, much more specific about where you're stuck, which framework you're using, and what you've tried.

You can do like if you enable the AutoPostBack in the dropdownlist you can put code to fill the textbox objects and Bind the data on gridview dynamically inside its event handler like Dropdown_selectedindexchanged.
