The Exception Class has a protected member for HRESULT . If you derive a class from System.Exception, you can get access to that value. That should contain any 'number' associated to the error (if one was generated).

HRESULT has 3 parts to it:

a severity code, a facility code, and an error code.

There is more detail here:

Hello there,
I am using ASP.NET and C#.NET 2.0
I want to Add a reminder Facility in my project.
But I am not finding the control for same in .net.

on a Site, user can be on any page.Is it possible to pop up the message as user sets the time for that message?

Can anyone help me to solve this?

I have being given a task to display a message of Good Morning with the User Name eg: "Good Morning Mr. XYZ"

Can any one tell me how do I start with it. I am using ASP.NET 2005 (VB).

Windows Services are not the same as ASP.NET or ASP. Post your question on the VB forums. To set you in the right direction look into Windows Services.

hi,
as someone already mentioned, windows services and asp.net are not related.
why not try searching for "windows services" in the search text box at the top of this page?

Use the following code to get the html

<br />
Function GetHtml(ByVal URL As String) As String <br />
Dim oWebClient As New System.Net.WebClient()<br />
Return New System.Text.UTF8Encoding().GetString(oWebClient.DownloadData(URL))<br />
End Function<br />

You would use it like so...

iFrameHtml = GetHtml("http://www.mysite.com/myIFrame.html")

I have an asp application which i have to show a crystal report. the report requires the location as a parameter.

Can some one plse tell me how to set the server login info through the crystal report.

also i can not create instances out of the crystal report please tell me why?

this is the coding

hi,
if you are a C# programmer, you should be able to create your own function that will check the type. you could use the try-catch block to convert it to the desired type. if it completes with a success, you know it is of the right type.

One technique you can use is to include the Microsoft.VisualBasic dll and use the 'IsNumeric()' method.

Just add a reference to the Microsoft.VisualBasic (assuming .NET 2.0 and assuming you've installed VB.NET) and then you can do this:

Microsoft.VisualBasic.Information.IsNumeric("123");
Microsoft.VisualBasic.Information.IsDate("3/21/2007");

There are other available methods so you can review to see if any fit your needs...

hi,
try the following:
dim i as integer = iif(textbox1.Text="",0,textbox1.Text)
please note that it will not check if it is of type integer or not, for that you can use validators.

Hi in my project in default.aspx page i have used frame set...,
In that 2 frame set, one header frame i used html link buttons.., if we click the link buttons in another frameset html page i target aspx page will be display,
In my gloabl.aspx page i said if session will be end go to login.aspx page like...,
When the session will be end its going to login.aspx page..,
In my login.aspx page no frame set,but there header frame is displaying,
now how to said when the session will be end that header frame also want to end like...,
Plz any one hlp me...,

The problem is how you are redirecting to login page(I think So..).
Can you post it.
