Hello All,
Suppose I am selling things on line and I am using pay pal to handle credit card transactions, how do I know if a transaction is successful? I'm planning to keep track of all items by creating an inventory program which subtracts the number of items sold from the total number of items in the inventory, only after the transaction is successful. That is my where my problem lies, I don't know how to determine if a transaction is successful. Any help, any suggestions on how to go about solving this will be greatly appreciated, thanks in advance for your time.

The paypal gateway should tell you it has successfully processed a transaction

It returns IPN,you have to read the IPN as it contains the value of whether the transaction is successful or not

Yeah, I've used real gateways, but not Paypal. I just knew that there had to be some way hidden in the documentation.

Follwing error : -"An error has occurred while establishing a connection to the server. When connecting to SQL Server 2005, this failure may be caused by the fact that under the default settings SQL Server does not allow remote connections. (provider: Named Pipes Provider, error: 40 - Could not open a connection to SQL Server) "
Version what we are using is Asp.net2.0 + sqlserver2000

There could be several reasons why this is happening, a good point to start would be to type that error into google and you will find loads of error messages.

means that your SQL Server is down, your connection string is wrong, or your security settings need to be changed in SQL Server.

Hi all,
I m using dual slider control of ajax with asp.net c# 2.0.
when the slider is used the values in the respective textboxes changes and using this values I want to query database for an search result to be displayed on the page.
My problem is that when ever I m using the slider the page postback is called and the values of the textboxes are again set to initial default value.
i tried using update panel but couldnt make it properly.
I m trying to make search similar to search in bluenile.com diamond search.
Can any one help me please.

i am use datagrid in asp.net using c# and i have a check box in grid view and now i would like to check all and uncheck all function in javascript and call that from linkbutton which exists outside of grid view. plz tell me how i can call javascript function in linkbutton and how i can check all and uncheck all function call for clicking that button? thanks in advance.

Hi,
I am very new to Ajax enabled web application. I was trying to degin an page with some controls in the update panel. I placed a update panel and inside that i placed a table. Now when i am trying to put label and text box in each of the cells inside the table. Here I am not able to align/Indent the controls as i want. Either it is giving more space than i require or it is moving here and there. I am not sure any settings to be done. Can any one please suggest me..
