We do not provide code to order. A little research will surely find some sample code to produce simple sounds. A little more research would show you how to build a table or list that maps characters to morse code values.

Well, I think a database might be overkill in such a small application. What's wrong with simple list types? This all depends somewhat on the language you are using but most languages have some type of List or generic class that would do this.

Example of what? If you really have no idea of the subject you are trying to work on then maybe you should consider a different project. I'm sure that with a little Googling you can find lots of tutorials on Android programming to get you started.

I'm trying to record sound using Android Emulator.I know that this question is popular over the internet, i checked many posts, it seems that only one person succeded:
http: and following his advice and the official site tutorial http://developer.android.com/guide/topics/media/audio-capture.html and also other resources, I'm still not able to record. My application throws exception at line
fMediaRecorder.start();
I added both audio record and external storage permisions in AndroidManifest.xml and both audio hardware settings to the emulator 2.3.3 on Win 7.Is anything wrong within my app,the way I storage the file or somethingelse? Please, if any body has any ideea feel free to share, it will be apreciated.Thanks. Here is the full source code:

Take a look at these tutorials[^].
BTW there is no need to use bold around your message, it will not get answered any faster, more likely just the reverse.

Hi there,
A Mobile application is an application that runs on a mobile device such cellphone, iPad ...
There are many utility fields such as geolocalization : locating restaurant, shopping spaces around you ...
Mobile development depends on the device in which you application will run and the operating system it is using ... so tutorials should be associated to Mobile operating system (android, iOS, window mobile ...).
you should first of all choose a mobile operating system then try to google some tutorials on it ...
Regards.

Before starting a project we need to determine feasibility.... We currently do this in a Windows app using OLE but would like to redesign and port it to Android. This is a major requirement so we are hoping this isn’t a non starter for Android. There will be multiple bitmaps inserted along with text to create custom documents. The bitmaps are pixel graphics that add meaning to the document. There seems to be only a few questions similar to this on other forums with no definitive answer, although it seems one company may be working on a yet unfinished RichTextBox like control for Android. - Thanks

Have a look at setBackgroundResource(int) . You need a drawable resource - your image - and the control renders it as the background.

Thanks for the reply. I did read about that, but there may be some problems. First there will be many of these graphics in the text not just one and they need to be moveable and resizeable. I don't think setting a background image will do it. Currently, in a Windows app, we get this behavior by inserting the bitmaps as OLE objects in a RichText Control. Android doesn't appear to support this, at least not natively. Thanks

I'm thinking that using MonoDroid to develop may be a possible solution. Has anybody worked with this using C#/.NET in Visual Studio? If it supports using RichTextBox then the problem could be solved. It's another tool to have to buy but may be worth it.

When you receive a text from a person that is not in your contact list, it simply shows up as their phone number. How can I quickly save that number (and edit it) in my contact list? Right now I'm writing that number down, and than creating the contact manually.

Click on the number - this brings you to a screen that says Unknown Contact. At the bottom of that screen, you'll see the save icon, click that and choose new contact (or select one from the list of contacts). From there on in, you should be able to figure it out.

That worked. Thanks.
