Yo,
Please can anyone help out? I want to plot/draw different graphs like linear, sine, cosine, bar, etc on the android. I don't want to use any third party tool; I would like to start from scratch.
Please I have searched online but haven't found any helpful tutorials or steps to take.
Thanks in advance.

I am working on a code of objective c that requires me to embed trignometry formula. actually i have the formula but i am confused how to implement that into my code.i am trying to find out everywhere & i am getting too but not getting exactly i need.the formula is like
Axh = Ax cos θz
Ayh = Ay cos θy
|AI | =sqrt(|Axh|^2 + |Ayh|^2)
α = arccos(Axh/|AI|) β = arccos(Ayh/|AI |)
Alat =Axh sin α+ Ayh sin β
these are formulas so anyone out there can help me with geometric coding or any simple project from where i can learn.. thanks

In CE 6.0, the main window of my app is created with CreateWindowEx with an extended style of WS_EX_NOACTIVATE. According to the documentation, SetForegroundWindow() can be used to bring this app to the foreground. However, this doesn't work. Does ANYONE have a clue?

I'm a well known proponent of Windows technology, but I am seriously impressed by Android machines (particulary those running Honeycomb). I'm so impressed that I would actually like to get into Android development. So, with that in mind, I'd like to ask for recommendations for books on Android (Honeycomb) development.

I am interested too.
As a side note, since I have a long background in .net and most development on Android is in a kind of java, so monoAndriod seems promising.
Also take a look at html5 it seems very cool there is a framework for it with very nice demos here, I don't know if it will work in an offline mode of operation but it's very slick.

I'm comfortable doing HTML 5 development. What I was looking for is native Android development, and while using MonoDroid would be easy enough for me, I'd like to gain experience with the standard Android SDK. That's no reflection on the Mono team, purely that I'd like to learn this stuff for myself.

I don't of any books to recommend but I got started using the Android developers guide. I also came from a .NET background and found it easy.
I like using Motodev but the IDE of choice appears to be Eclipse.
Hope that helps

I want to create a simple application for my club,which will enable users search details of other members on their BB , Android phone or any java enabled phone. Is it better to embed the database in the app or have it hosted elsewhere ? I'd prefer embedded in case phone not configured for internet access , but what are the practical considerations, including in the development and use ?
Thanks

It all depends on your connectivity level (always online, offline), network availability and how much data you will be transferring.
For a case like yours I would presume low data transfer, and always online would do so don't make your life difficult by embedding the database.

The problem with embedded only is how does the database update? New members etc. You could use an embedded database and provide access to a server to update when online. My phone doesn't have 3G but there are plenty of Wi-Fi connections I use, so I'm regularly connected. After all they need to be connected or sync'd at some stage to install the app.

i prefer keeping the data hosted elsewhere online, that guarantee that the user is always updated, else any update in data, the user has to update the application

We created an application on IPhone which uses PJSIP for voice communication. PJSIP provides a static address to application which is used to communicate.
As soon i am on to other network [other Wi-Fi or 3G] address is lost.
PJSIP provides the address so we dont have any control over this
I want to know if I can set up my own server for providing the address and can use pjsip to route for address to my server.
I tried searching for some framework [paid or free] which can overcome this obstacle.
I am not a network expert so any help is appreciated.
Does anyone has an idea on such framework or web service available?

Be specific! Don't ask "can someone send me the code to create an application that does 'X'. Pinpoint exactly what it is you need help with. I can only suggest that you look at the phone manufacturers' developer sites - I use both Motodev and the Nokia Developer Forum. They have sample code for various bluetooth applications.

What error messages are you getting?
On WinCE devices you might not have "d:" so check that.

Hi! We have a Windows Mobile 6.5 based project which uses a Bluetooth serial port any windows phone (We use HTC HD2) to communicate with several industrial transmitters. Now we have been asked to port this WM 6.5 application to WP7, iPhone and Android phones/tablets. I searched this forums and many others but it seems to me neither Microsoft(WP7) nor Apple (iPhone) do not support the Serial Port Profile. (Why???) I am not quite sure about Android. Does anybody of you have any experience about porting System.IO.Ports.SerialPort control to IPhone, WP7 or Android? Thanks guys!
