I recommend paying for an ad, as opposed to bugging people who are busy helping other people.
FWIW, there's a whole galaxy of free helpdesk-software out there.

Does anyone know an example of a desktop application/program that was developed with html5”?
If so, can you refer me to it?
Thanks!

Same answer as on CodeGuru; it's a markup-language, not a programming language.

I am new to HTML5.
I want to create a program in HTML5, but I need also to have a backend which will handle all the logic.
Can I connect a backend which is written in C# or in Java to HTML5? if so how?
My program needs also to handle reading and writing to xml files. I guess that the backend will need to handle this task, but can the HTML side handle it as well?

Simply create a normal asp.net application and you can write html 5 code at client side.
There is nothing extra you need.
Just make sure that your user has mordern browser that supports Html 5.

Funny title, I'll give you that
The "back-end" in this case is any platform of your liking:
- ASP.NET
- ASP.NET MVC
- PHP
- Java
- C++ for CGI
Any of these provide the platform of implementing the business logic.

Hi
I want create chat for automation website, so client not send any request to server for respond, instead server send respond to client when received a message from other client.
Thank you.

This would most likely be a little bit insecure. The client would have to provide an open socket endpoint which is typically blocked by local firewalls, routers, corporate firewalls.
Typically this is solved by doing AJAX style polling.

Not really clear on what it is you're after, but I suspect you want the server to notify the client, rather than the client requesting changes from the server - as mentioned in other post, there are several ways to do it - but for simplicity, you may want to do a quick google for SignalR
C# has already designed away most of the tedium of C++.

As the message shows, just check whether your web application authorizes the given uri.

Hello all...
i want to learn web designing as i havn't any experience or knowledge about it but i want to learn it.please guide me which platform or language will be best for me (ASP.NET,PHP etc).
|
|
|
|
|
I suppose the main choices are LAMP or Windows (though by no means the only choices). If LAMP then plump for php (easy to work with and learn); if Windows then Asp.Net with C# (a little harder).
You can get free tools to work and learn with either but I would suggest you start with a good book or find an introductory course to whichever technology you choose - there are many on line learning resources that are free.
Good luck.

If you want to move to Wesites like stuff, then PHP is ideal choose for you, rest if need to move in development of some Security based Web Applications then ASP.Net is good.

I'm working on a website for work, just for fun, and I'm having a bit of trouble with one of the main elements. The entire page is enclosed in a DIV element of class "container." Next comes a DIV of class "header." Within the "header" DIV are two more DIV elements, classes "name" and "logo." These are used to hold the name of the company and the logo, oddly enough, with one set to float left, the other right. It's rather boring, I know, but I'm an engineer, not a designer. Still, it doesn't look bad. [^]
That's until you try scrolling down the page. The logo and name stay put in the browser window while the rest of the header moves up. That really wasn't what I intended, or expected. I thought that being in a containing DIV, these elements would position themselves in relation to the parent header DIV. I've tried modifying the position attribute through all the choices - relative, absolute, static, inherit, and fixed, but this behavior doesn't change. The parent container, header, has no float or position attributes, by the way, and I wonder if that might be where I should be looking for the solution.
Can someone provide some insight into where I'm going wrong with this?

In your CSS, you have
a img { /* this selector removes the default blue border displayed in some browsers around an image when it is surrounded by a link */
border: none;
position: fixed;
}
Change the position to relative
