Hi web developers,
When I go to a web page that has HTML form, the form is submitted to a script, lets say 'login.cgi'.
The problem is: how can I download the script??? I want the code in the script... I tried many things but I always see HTTP 404, Not found.
You are the masters of tricks. so Any trick to download cgi scripts from a webserver???
Thanx,
Mohammad

Problem - I have some corporate software that I have hosted on my website in a subfolder. I know the links so I just type it when I need to download it.
I am looking for a script (or something) where I had a super simple login page (authenticate to xml or to small mssql db), that would look at the dir it was installed in, show a list files with clickable links. Maybe an upload feature...
Anyone know of anything?
Thanks in Advance,

Sounds pretty easy to write to me. You just return a list of names and paths, and create a list of links from it.

Indeed, I am seeking a simple solution.
Here is a bloated solution - http://www.iisworks.com/fileman/
My question was mainly directed towards the group and if they knew of anything floating around out there.... but if I need it to be built, are there any takers?
Thanks,

Try http://quixplorer.sourceforge.net/ or just google for 'PHP File Manager' or whatever language you prefer

I'm looking for an asp based script/app
TY for the post though....

The simple solution might be to allow directory listing for that folder, and possibly password protect the folder.

I put all my files in myfolder. I have no idea what is in the parent folder.
I create a global.asa in root folder, I put
session.timeout=45
in session start sub.
And this doesn't work for me.
I also put session.timeout at the begining of every asp file.
it doesn't work either.
I try to put the global.asa in "myfolder", it doesn't work either!!
I really have no idea what is wrong with it!
Please help me out of the question!!!

Actually i somewhat tried to make the SqlDataProvider class (SqlDataprovider.vb) abstract (MushInherit) which i discovered later.
Of course i cannot create an abstract class of SqlDataProvider with Reflection. I guess i was tired when i was coding!
Thanks for answering very fast!

I am trying to test a text box for either numbers or a null entry. I have tried using [0-9]|[:blank:]|[:space:] but it will not work. Any help would be appreciated.

[0-9] will only match one single digit. You have to specify how many digits you allow. You can also use \d instead of [0-9]
\d{0,} - zero or more digits
\d{1,} - one or more digits
\d* - zero or more digits
\d+ - one or more digits
\d{0,5} - zero to five digits
If you allow zero digits, that will take care of an empty entry.

not a regex,
but how bout this
private bool isValid(string str)
{
if(str == null || str == string.Empty) return false;
foreach(char ch in str)
{
if(!Char.IsNumber()) return false;
}
return true;
}

Just a note: I've had some issues using \d on some regex interpreters. If you run into problems with it, use [0-1]* (or + , depending on your purposes).

if you are using regularexpressionvalidator control, this control doesn't check against your regex if it's empty. This behavior works ok for you, you would only need to add the validation of space to your reg expression.

I have an (old) web-project in classic ASP involving a file upload form. No problems, except when I try to update - all I've done is change a few dates to 2006, and am now getting "write permission denied" errors. Yes, IIS has "write" enabled on the folders, but looking in Windows Explorer "Properties" window it insists on showing it as "read only" - I untick it, but it just re-sets itself. The only other change since I created the oroginal app is the installation of ASP.NET on same server.... Any ideas, anyone?
On a related matter, I keep reading that (in ASP.NET anyway) when performing file uploads it is "very imprtant that the server form have ENCTYPE="Multipart/Form-Data" set. Really? Why? I've never found this to be so. I've uploaded Word docs, image files, PDF's - all sorts without bothering about this.... (in ASP.NET) Comments, anyone?
cheers - and a happy new year to all!
Phil

There doesn't exist anything as a read-only folder. What is shown in the properties of the folder is something that should represent the read-only state of the files in the folder, but that doesn't work very well either.
The problem is probably due to permissions. Check in the properties of the web site what user account is used for anonymous access, this is the account used for running asp code. Installing ASP.NET might have changed it to a different account. Then check the permissions for the folder, and make sure that the account used has write permission.
When uploading files, the form has to have the correct enctype, or it won't work. ASP.NET however sets the correct enctype on the form when you put an upload field in it.

hi, sorry for delay
Its basically sql Qn. so u should put it up in sql message board.
secondly how its related with Crystal reports.
Well, What i understood, You need query design tips.
its inbuilt in Crystal reports.
plz troubleshoot yourself.
or submit it clearly.
Any systematic work reflects its significance for a long time, Though I m not totally against "The Prototyping".So let's discuss in depth...
