Hello,
I use a self written Isapi-Filter to translate my webpages to different languages. The translation algorythm is coded in SendRawData-Event.
I developed the Isapi with MSDEV6.0 (but without MFC) and it works fine. Now I ported my Webproject to ASP.NET and my Isapi have still problems to work with large pages. Details follows:
If my webpage for translation is greater than 30KB or so, the SendRawData-Func is called more than once. It looks, that the IIS (5.0 !!) is splitting the original page to different blocks and call for each block SendRawData (i.e. Pagesize = 61509 Bytes -> 1. block = 29479 Bytes, 2. block = 28376 Bytes and 3. block = 3654 Bytes).
In first block IIS set a CRLF + a hex digit + CRLF at first position in front of the first html-Tag. The second block is without any other chars but the last block have at the end CRLF + zero + CRLF. The hex digit in the upper case was 0xF038. That is a different of 13 to the real page size (random  ).
All of this is'nt the Problem  . My Isapi translate all block correctly and write the tranlated block back to the buffer HTTP_FILTER_RAW_DATA->pvInData. But the Browser shows only "Cannot display the page" or "Internal Server Error" or some other crepp  .
Here comes a traceoutput of the 3 blocks:

You can see, that the breaks are in the middle of a table and there are not other hints, why the break is there, where the break is.

The "onload" of body tag works fine and sets the value of "isBack" to "true" when i navigate to google and back("using back button").But the value returned in "image load" is "false".
The strange thing if if i uncomment the line "alert("from image load");" in the function "isBackButtonUsed",the value "true" is correctly returned.
where's the problem??....

Hello,
I have an activex which renders a bitmap (jpeg or bmp) inside my web page.
I need to use this activex because it makes some animations with this bitmap that I cannot do with HTML.
Unfortunately, this activex does not manage GIF or PNF format, and I would like to be able to make the background of the bitmap transparent. 
Is there a way to make a color of this image transparent with HTML (CSS, etc...)?

i don't want to hear again that there is something called cookies and the web is stateless etc..

I did the same. Having a good ASP experience I learned PHP quickly and easily. Actually I started to write code in couple of hours. Most difficult was to install and configure PHP, MySQL, Apache and ZDE (http://www.zend.com/) on my W2K server. Apache was installed on the port 8080 in addition to IIS sitting on 80.

I use PHP with IIS in my workstation  . and works fine, If you don't wanna install Apache you can use PHP with IIS. Perl too  .

Hi,
I have setup a simple HttpWebRequest system to use a remote login perl client. Unfortunatly, the perl code sends back multiple responses and when I use the HttpWebResponse.GetResponse() I only get the final response thus missing any cookies or the page I’m redirected too. I have tried looking in the cookies property and the HttpStatusCode property and they act as though no redirection occurred. How do I soluve this problem. I have tried both GET and POST code, and when I type the string in the web browser I get to the page with no problem.

I need to check client side on the following...
File type must be jpg,
Must be a certain size,
And the input tag may not have nothing in it when submitted.
I may not use FSO client side, and neither does my boss want me to use server sided checking. HOW CAN I SOLVE THIS PROBLEM???

You can't solve your problem within the conditions you have given. The only reliable way to check user input is with server-side checking, so it should always be used even if some preliminary checks are done on the client side.

Getting OpenOffice to the web
Hello! We are 2 students at a Swedish university doing a theses on a "web-program(thin client) for open office". Is there anyone who has heard anything about this before?
The client is the webbrowser, which is any browser att all. The thing is that our goal is to get the GUI of OpenOffice to show in the webbrowser.
All that you would need to use a word processor, would be a computer anywhere in the world with a webbrowser on it. Mac, Linux, Unix, Windows, etc. This solution would drasticly lower the costs for companies.
We are thinking in the bounds of a webbmail program that runs on the web-server. We have a webserver and we are thinking about using some type of JavaApplet's to make it work with an internet explorer of some kind.
Does anybody know any leads on this? It would be very kind.

I am developing a web application using asp.net/c#. I am creating cache in the application start for certain data.I have given the expiry date for cache has 24 hrs. Problem is sometimes cache is not getting loaded in the memory when the application starts. I have debugged the application but it is not throwing any exception and it is properly fetching the data from the database. Can any one give me a solution for this.

Not sure if this is the right place to post, but here goes:
I want to add a button or toolbar to IE6 that reads the content of the current web-page when a button is pressed.
It's not anything complex like reading the HTML page as it arrives (although that would be nice as well), I just want to be able to read what the user is currently looking at. Preferable the current active frame.
I know the print preview option sees which frame is currently active, and can render the output, but how can I read the HTML source from a program?

Hi,
