The basical requirement similar to Unix/Linux:
1) when logout, prompt to ask whether you want to save the session. A session can be vaguely defined as the state of user applications running on the machine. It may be extended to include the system services running on the machine as well, if feasible.
2) If you answered yes, then next time you login, all the currently opened applications shall be opened automatically.
3) If you answered no, then the previous (good) session shall be retained for next login. The current session will not be saved.
Happy coding!

Thanks for your interests. This is going to be my next project. I've just finished and posted out a little web content monitoring tool, which monitors gas prices around my areas. Search key words "gas price" for the article. Hope you like it.

Hello Guys,
Can any one help me how to create a GIF animation on a transparent window.
[An alien from other domain needs help !]
I'm basically from a Java domain. Due to some limitations in java i cannot create a transparent window. So i'm trying other way probably through win32 api. i'm assuming that i can interact with Win32 application from Java using JNI (Java Native Interface) frame work.
Any Help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

Hello !
I have to understand, how work cluster APIs, how can I use them in .NET envoronment, and finally, do I actually need to use them at all to include my service in the failover process.
To my great surprise I couldn't find something more friendly than Cluster 2000 API reference.
So I think, at least one article devoted to the Cluster APIs will not be superfluous on the CP site.
Thanks.

Hello,
I am trying to figure out a way to make a sub folder to install my applications to. Right now I have four choices to install my programs to.
/program files (main)
/storage (sd flash card)
/network (n/a)
/ipaq file (4mb of backup memory)
I would like to made another directory
/storage/program files
with a title of
SPrograms
I use my SD card for other devices and by using my ipaq to install to the Storage section everything gets stuck in the root directory.
I prefer a much cleaner looking and easier to find structure.
I'm not sure if this is just an editing a file problem or an actual program I will have to make.
info would be appreciated.
Thank you

hello guys...
my question is:
how to trace an email..
for example i sent an email (my resume) to a company and i need to know if the company read my mail or not yet...
if the server does matter.. let's say at hotmail account.!

In general you can't.
You can request the recipient send you a receipt when they open your email, but there's no way to force them to do so. If you're using a web interface instead of an email app you might not have that option to begin with.
|
|
|
|
|
Why not send the email as HTML. Then insert a transparent 1x1 gif in the email. But, make the gif's src="" attribute point to an asp/aspx page so on the server you can log requests for the image.
One problem though... MS Outlook and Express blocks the downloading of images in preview pane by default I think.

I know outlook does since I use it at work. Not sure on OE, my copy's set to do html->plaintext conversion before rendering, but IIRC before I found that feature it did load images automatically.
Like requesting a receipt though, this is something that might or might not work, and the use of webbugs is considered rude, so I'd view it as an inferior option.

Both Outlook and Outlook Express block images by default. (And I think Hotmail has a mail bug blocker, too.)

Introduction
In object-oriented programming (OOP) paradigm, real world problem is considered as a collection of objects where programming objective can be achieved through interactions among objects. In other words, to develop an OOP program/software, we must start with developing the abstract data types (ADT’s) for all identified object in the problem at hand. These ADT’s will be later transformed into classes using any OOP language, such as C++ and Java™.
In this project, you are going to use several Two-dimensional transformations such as (translation, scaling and rotation).Your program shall have the following capabilities:
1. Use the keyboard to enter the values of the translations, scaling and rotations.
2. You may choose an object consisting of (minimum) 6 to (maximum) 20 vertices. Develop class that represent polygon objects of arbitrary vertices. The class must have default shape for polygon with arbitrary vertices.
3. Through the program, you may be able to choose the type of the transformation by the keyboard.
4. Displaying the shape of the polygon before and after transformation either using console (C++) or graphical user interface (GUI), (Java).
Transformation Matrices
You may need to prepare the following functions:
• Identity.
• Translate.
• Rotate.
• Scale.
Each of above functions will be able to multiply the vertices of your object by the desired value of transformation and produce the new vertices that are ready to be drawn. Make these functions general, i.e. they can accept an array of vertices, and produce an array of the output vertices. The above functions should perform these operations by using matrix multiplication.
Using the Keyboard
In this assignment, you will use the keyboard intensively, all the commands will be entered using the keyboard and in the following manner:
• Type the Letter “i” or “I” to reset all transformations and the original object should appear.
• Type the Letter “t” or “T” to translate the object, and the program should prompt the user to enter the number of pixels that the object will move in the x and y directions. Once these values are entered, the object should be drawn in the new position.
• Type the Letter “r” or “R” to rotate the object, and the program should prompt the user to enter the value of the rotation angle in the counter clockwise. If this value is negative, the rotation will take place in the clockwise direction. Here, you should take into consideration the rotation about the origin and the rotation about one point of the object.
• Type the Letter “s” or “S” to scale the object, and the program should prompt the user to enter the scale factors. Scale factors must be greater than 0, because negative values will flip your object. Think about fixed point scaling also.
• Type the Letter “f” or “F” to flip (Reflect) the object. The reflection points that make the line of reflection, may be entered by the keyboard also.
• Type the Letter “q” or “Q” to quit the Program

"If I did your homework for you, then you might pass your class without learning how to write a program like this. Then you might graduate and get your degree without learning how to write a program like this. You might become a professional programmer without knowing how to write a program like this. Someday you might work on a project with me without knowing how to write a program like this. Then I would have to do you serious bodily harm." [Thanks to Jack Klein]
IF you attempt your project and run into difficulties and request specific assistance where you're stuck it's one thing, but we won't do your homework for you.
