The images appear inside the wizard/editor but not on the actual page when published. And I'm no longer able to update it. What gives?

I am trying to embed images in an article I am writing.
When I am editing the article, I drag files into the drag-and-drop rectangle on the right side of the text editor to upload them. After uploading, I drag the images from the list on the right side into the text editor. The images each display as a resizable rectangular image, but when I preview the article there are just links to the images. I have also tried clicking the image button in the toolbar for the text editor, but it requires a URL, and when I use the local URL of my image ("myImage.png" for example), the image displays as the broken image reference icon.
What am I doing wrong?

I just realized that my articles are going public without moderation... Now it is very flattering that CP values my technical level that much, but my English is still the same poor I had before...(and we all do mistakes sometime).
So - can it be moved to the moderation queue - preferably permanently for future articles too - so some would review it at least for the English part?

Platinum authors do not wait in lines 
There's nothing we can do about that part because it's tied to your reputation. Also I think your English is very good. Looking over your latest article I think it's completely comprehensive; I'm not worried about members reading a sentence and wondering, "what does he mean?" So I think you're not giving yourself enough credit.
I would continue to post your articles as you've been doing. From time to time editors will swoop in and take a look, but there's a reason you're platinum author, good sir -- you don't really need us to shine.

Sending stuff by mail is notoriously fickle. There are some countries and states we simply can't mail to anymore because things simply never arrive.

The aggregator just does its best and then we pat it on the head and it chases its tail a bit more before running into the wall. He's not a perfect little guy but he's our little guy.

Recently, I posted a Tip/Tick, and then took a nap while it was being reviewed. During this time, one of the reviewers posted a question in the area reserved for the review period. However, by the time I woke up again, the article had been approved, and the question had been deleted. The only way I know about the question is from the automatic e-mail I received. I would like to answer it, but there is now nowhere to do so. It would not make sense as a comment in the article's forum without the question to give it context, plus not sure that the questioner would see it.
Oh, and @Nelek[^] , to answer you now. I am working on an article all about the Windows Property System, which is where that Tip originated. Once I have finished the coding for that, it will be a full article.

Unfortunately the approval system is designed to remove comments posted on it during the approval process because 90% of the time they are suggestions for improvement, and it would be cruel to authors who make it over that hurdle to keep outdated criticisms on there.

Can't you go back and answer into the revisions, they keep the board? I have used the workaround a couple of times. But right now not sure if in this concrete case would work.
Tell me which article, I'll check.

The revisions are on board, but the messages aren't. You suggested I give the Tip When a File is not a File[^] more info, and make it a full-on article. It is just a small part of the Windows Property System class library I am working on, so a full article is coming on that. I'm a tad slow these days, so may be a couple of weeks away yet.
