I guarentee two things
1 - no-one is going to mail you code, you should read the forums if you want to participate in them
2 - posting your email address like this will result in a lot of spam
Do you want to embedd an image in a Word doc, or do you want to convert the text in an image, into text in a Word doc ?

Hi,
I'm trying to migrate from Word 2003 template to Word 2007. In Word 2003 there was Word Template project option in new project popup. In Word 2007 there is no such thing but Word Add-in. I have a lot of macros so I need WordTemplate.dot file to deliver my project to users with these macros. How can I do it with Word 2007 or does anybody know how can I make these macros programmatically added after installation? (I sent here because I couldn't find office tab and I'm writing this project with vb.net
Thanks a lot

If anyone can help me to programatically select a vb.2005 treeview node, I'd really appreciate it. My program receives data and can present it to the treeview as a unique number or as text, whichever works. I then need to either create a new parent node or find an existing, matching node name or index number and select that node in order that child nodes can be automatically added. I'm struggling with this one!

You should be able to search the tree for your node, and then if you find it, just set the selected node. Something ike this:
Dim nodeFound as TreeNode
For Each node As TreeNode In myTree.Nodes
If node.Level = 0 Then 'Search only nodes that are on the first level
If node.Text.Trim = strSearchText Then
nodeFound = node
Exit For
End If
End If
Next
If nodeFound IsNot Nothing Then
myTree.SelectedNode = nodeFound
End If

Many thanks, I'll give that a try.

Very many thanks, the code snippet worked fine, unfortunately VB.2005's TreeView control is seriously taxing me. I now need to read a value from a dynamically loaded level 1 child node in order to check that it's not been entered twice. The level 0 node is a team name and the level 1 child node is a unique numeric identifier. Both the team and the ID are only entered once but the treeview fills up as different team/ID's are received via a radio link. I can check for duplicate team names but can't work out how to check the next node down.
If anyone can help with this it will hopefully save my sanity.

Rob

You might find it easier to keep a Dictionary as well as the TreeView, and even have a lookup of team ID against the node its in.

Many thanks Mark, I'll certainly give it some thought. I've almost achieved what I want via the recursion example in the help files. The majority of problems are caused by the fact that I don't select the nodes myself, an incoming radio data signal determines which node is active. I only click the nodes to poll the particular radio for it's position. It was easier in VB6 but times change!

add a template column and edit it. After this drag a radiobutton into this template. that's all. If you want to reach to this control try to learn about "FindControl(string ControlID)" method. Regards.

ok, i'll try.

Hi arifliminto86,
This worked fine when I tested it:
Dim myFSO As Object
Dim f As Object
Set myFSO = CreateObject("Scripting.FileSystemObject")
Set f = myFSO.GetFile("c:\test.txt")
Debug.Print f.DateCreated

I'v been working on a project in wich every form (or almost every form) inherits from 1 main form (frmClientForm). Untill now I havn't had any problems with that (just add new item -- inherited form ...).
But now I get an error just before I would get the window in wich to choose the form to inherit from:
Unable to load assembly 'path to my exe'. Ensure that the file is a valid .NET Framework assembly.
The file (my exe of the prog) is deffinatly a valid assembly since its being build by visual studio itself.
The file exist.
I tried rebuilding/compilling/clean solution/project nothing seems to work.
The form to be inherited from is in the same project as the form that inherits.
after I press OK I still get the window in wich I can see forms in other projects (but same solution) but not the forms of the project in wich I am adding the new form.
Anyone have any idee what the cause of this error is?

How to move all files in a directory to another directory?
And how to rename directory and file?
|
|
|
|
|
I assume your talking about VB.Net and not VB6.
Check out the classes under the 'System.IO' namespace.
THeres some pretty obvious ones like 'File' and 'Directory'.

You should specify the language your asking about when posting in this forum.
Most people will assume VB.Net if you don't say which.
