Running vs2005 ( vb.net )
im trying to write an intranet app and one of the problems im comming up against is displaying data retrieved from a SQl Select query and displaying one record in text boxes much the same style as the old VB6.
I welcome any suggestion and examples please.

Hi
I added a datetimepicker to one column of datagrid. i got this by downloading generic datgrid user control from web. after i download that control, i got the 'calendercolumn' also as columntype. it is working. but when i am trying to insert one row thru datagridview to sql table' s datetime column, when i am clicking on the calender cell value itself it is giving me the following error. when i click continue it goes back to the cell and i can select the date the date and proceed. the data(including date) is saving properly. hw can i avoid (what eception to handle) to prevent from this error msg to come?

You want to look up and learn VBA for MS Word. There are tons of stuff out there. Just google for it...

Most lists in VBA are 1 based. There is at least 1 case where 0 based indexing is used. What is this case?

When a value type needs to be passed as a reference type ( typically as an object ), for example, in the non generic .NET containers, it needs to be put inside an object, hence 'boxing'.

Hello, Im trying to figure out how to find the amount of data being sent and recieve by the internet (kB/s) and the time the connection has been active.
Pretty much the infomation that is contained the connection info window, but I need to access this infomation by declares only.

To All,
This is something totally out of my league; but I wanted to know; so I was wondering if someone might point me in the right direction to get started...
What would I have to do to try and write my own VNC like control for a server/viewer much like this one? (http://cdot.senecac.on.ca/projects/vncsharp/quickstart.html)
I used that control in my project only to discover that (had I been paying attention) it was only a viewer control. I wanted to build an app that emulated VNC with file transfer capabilities; etc.
So.. where would I start? I don't want to try and re-invent the wheel; but I don't want to distribute two apps (a server like app that would allow me to get the remote computer's drive information and then spit that to my viewer control -- that in addition to having to send over a distro of VNC like Ultra or Tight VNC).
I'm at a loss guys; what would I have to learn?

Actually, this topic did interest me a while back as well, and i made some research.
I'm not sure there is a .NET VNC server implementation, but search Google for vnc activex server and you will find a commercial company that just released a beta of a vnc server activex control.
(I tested it and it works well)
i would be vary happy to find some project about a vnc .NET server

Hi, using VB net (2003) I Have 2 DataGrids on a Windows. Form(Tab Control with 3 pages) on page2 is DataGrid2, and on page3 is DataGrid3. Both DataGrid have 5 Rows and both first Columns are identical, ex: Normal Price is (Col. 0, Row 0), Credit Card is (Col. 0, Row 1), Discount 5% is (Col. 0, Row 2), Discount 10% is (Col. 0, Row 3), Discount 20% is (Col. 0, Row 4). What I need to do is when I click on any row of either DataGrid (highlighted meaning selecting a row) that the same row in the other DataGrid be selected. Is there a Way to do that programmatically, hope you can help me and thank-you in advance,.
