Inside that file, do you have any table called user?
The word "politics" describes the process so well: "Poli" in Latin meaning "many" and "tics" meaning "bloodsucking creatures."
जय हिंद

yes i do have a table called user with Username and Password as the fields and 3 entries in it
|
|
|

Well the error message says you don't. Try enclosing the table name in square brackets in your SQL statement.
SELECT Username, Password FROM [User] WHERE ...
BTW: Your WHERE clause is a VERY bad way of looking up what was entered on the login page. Use parameterized queries instead.

how to validate the hexadecimal value??
thanks for ur help!!
|
|

Hi,
You can use the Parse or TryParse methods of the number types to do the conversion. This fragment in c# should get you started.
String userInput = "ab7f";
Int64 value = Int64.Parse(userInput, System.Globalization.NumberStyles.HexNumber);

What do want to convert it to?
The assumption is that it's to integer but it could be to character or binary or unicode.
E.g. 4C hex goes to:
integer 76
binary 01001100
ASCII L
EBCDIC <<br mode="hold" />
You really need to be specific when asking questions.

I’m stuck on how to enter a HEX number into a text box
|
|
|
|
|
Strictly speaking, what you are asking for is actually not possible. There is nu such thing as a hexadecimal numbe, you either have a number or the hexadecimal textual representation of a number. Converting the textual representation into a number is called parsing.
Entering the hexadecimal textual representation of the number in a textbox is easy. Make sure that the textbox has focus (you will see the blinking caret in the tectbox), then you just push keys on the keyboard to enter characters in the textbox. Valid characters for the hexadecimal representation are the digits 0 to 9 and the letters A to F. The letters can be either upper case or lower case.
Despite everything, the person most likely to be fooling you next is yourself.

Hi Everyone,
Can anyone guide me to install a vb6 application in a dotnet machiene.

Can you please elaborate : what are trying to do and where exactly you are facing problem
|
|
|
|
|
The fact it has the .net framework installed makes no difference to a vb6 app. The two are not related, just install the app in the normal way.

Please use profiling tools any of following tools :
CLR Profiler[^]
NDepends[^]
By using above tools, you will come to know expensive part of code. Then you can try to optimize that code.

But how can i know in which module is generating that problem.and I m using on error resume next for error resloving.

Thats what the profiling tools show you.
eg_Anubhava wrote: on error resume next for error resloving
Nothing to do with profiling, but it could mean you are not freeing up resources if you get an error.
