The ASCII code is correct. The reason you cannot see the character is most likely that the font you are using does not support that character

I see, Thanks!
But is there any way we can know which font support for that character ?

The only way to know is to look at it in Character Map. On XP, open Program, Accessories, System Tools, Character Map. At the bottom of the window, enable the Avanced View. You'll get a little search box. Just type "Infinity" in there (without the quotes) and it'll show you if whatever font you pick at the top of the box supports the character and what it's number is. If a font supports it, it's usually going to be the same number, but not always. In Courier New, it's Unicode character 221E.

This is a question for the SQL message board, surely, but Enterprise Manager is now called SQL Server Management Studio Express and can be downloaded from the Microsoft website

Not sure if I'm understanding you correctly but my take on it is this - dump the frames idea and use html tables for positioning instead. Frames are a pain & a mission to work with.
If you're using .NET 2.0 make use of a master page and place the ContentHolder control where you currently have your 3rd page frame. Using a master page you could also create your navigation menus to behave as you described above and only have to create it once. Unless you can write some nifty JavaScript it may involve a postback to populate your list of sub links.

Hi all,
Right now, I'm encountering an exception related to crystal reports in few of my Windows Applications, Where Crystal Reports are used for generating the reports. When the user tries to launch a report,it fails to load the Report with the Exception Message "Load Report Failed".But when the application is closed and executed again, its working fine.
What might be the reason for this? How we could resolve this issue?
Any valuable suggections appreciated!
Thank You,
Regards,
Deepa.

I am wondering if you are not closing the report in your program. If you leave the report open then the file may be locked which would keep you from being able to load the report a second time unless you shut the app down.
Hope that helps.

Ok. I'll try to make this short. I have made 100’s of MS Access “programs” during the past few years… some for me, others (most) for employers or side jobs. I’ve put off learning a true programming language years and now that I’m ready to “take it to the next level” I’m not sure which basket to place my eggs in. I downloaded Microsoft’s express editions of VB, C++, C# and SQL. Although they all seems simple and straight forward enough I’ve narrowed it down to C++ or VB. I would prefer VB based on my limited experience. I have already made simple apps with single forms and db connectivity. My main issue at this point is how to manage my forms. In access I could create dozens of forms with forms opening in the background during load and calling on each other when/as needed. In VB and C++ I just don’t get it! My first project will have approx 15 different tables (people, places, history of contacts, photographs that are searchable by identifiers, etc.) Will each be a separate form? Will I programmatically display the items on a single form using the menu bar to show/hide/active or what!!! I know for everyone reading this it’s a very basic question… however for me, at this time, it is the only thing standing in my way! Please help if you can.

You're thinking in terms of Access forms. You can't. You have to start by forgetting everything you know about Access' Forms model. It's just not the same because Access does things very differently.
This question really doesn't have an easy answer. WHat you do with each form depends on what you want that forms to do, not what you want it to do with the data. You have to start thinking about seperating the visuals from the data and even insert a business layer between the two.
Seriously. The best place for you to start is not a 15 table project. Pick up a book on VB.NET or C# before you takle this project. Get the basics down and straighten out all the damage Access di to you ( ) before you really confuse yourself.

VC++ Express Edition is a waste of time. It only does WinForms, and no-one uses C++/CLI to write windows apps.

I am curious to see how one would do this in Visual Basic 2005, I do not intend to use this but it is just something that sprung to mind when I was creating a small program to read values from the registry, although this may come in handy for the future.

How do you mean by this exactly?
The question I have asked is feasible, Microsoft is perfectly fine with it, they also have articles of how to do it in .vbs, all I am asking is how would I do this in VB?

So it is. My bad - please attribute it to cranial-rectal inversion.
The scripts are simple enough. It's just some WMI work. You can't translate the scripts to VB.NET code? All you need is the System.Management namespace classes to do this. Do a search to retrieve the Win32_WindowsProductActivation objects. Then iterate over the returned collection and Invoke the SetProductKey method on each instance.
The catch is you have to determine which version of Windows your running under and change between two different methods of changing the key. XP is different than XP SP1 and above.

Ok, thank you for the reply, I will see what I can do about this, I am still beginning VB so sorry for my lack of knowledge in this matter, I am the type of person who likes to get is hands dirty.

If you check out the documentation on the System.Management namespace, you'll find a ton of examples for searching and executing methods in WMI.
