But using a kernel wait instead of a busy wait would be much nicer for your CPU. If you want your application to continue to respond to input, then you should use MsgWaitForMultipleObjects() with a message pump. Are you aware that you are asking for something and for exactly the opposite thing ? Check the properties of your ClistCtrl when rightclicking on it in the resource editor, here you can enable Horinzontal Scroll Bar, which has them always shown, or Auto Horizontal Scrollbar, which describes the second way you have mentioned. ~RaGE(); Re: Scroll Bars in List control Prasanna_b_r3-Jun-03 19:35 Prasanna_b_r 3-Jun-03 19:35  Hello, I didnt find the option of enable Horizontal Scroll Bar in the resource editor of VC 6.0 for a List Control.
