Send the control a LVM_SETITEM message.

Actually, that's the notification message (LVN_ITEMCHANGED) that a list control control sends its parent when an item has changed. Perhaps you are thinking of the LB_SETCURSEL message.

i wrote the code under LVN_ITEMCHANGED event handler to get the current item.
its working and i'm displaying the current item from AfxMessageBox();

but exactly what is happining when i click on any item it shows me message(with the current selected text) two or three times.

why is this happeing and in which event i should write the code.

From .exe to .lib

Hello all,

I have a working BIG MFC project X. Now I want to create a new project Y(or another interface) that will use the older MFC project X as a library from which classes and methods are called. I changed the general properties of the X from .exe to .lib and Linked Y to X in the linker properties.

The problem is that I lost all linker options that were in X (I used to link X to other libraries). Whatis the solution for this?

Create a temporary DLL project and make a note of what linker options are used. Incorporate those into X.

Do you mean that I should creat a DLL project that link to these libraries and then put this DLL in X, thus X is linked to the libraries?

How to create this DLL project and how to link it to X?

It doesn't get any easier than what I've already provided. Since you have already created a "BIG MFC project," we must assume that you are at least somewhat familiar with the process. In any case, see here.

Dont take the "BIG" word to that extent. It is big in core not in interface. I'll check the links and go back to u soon.

This is syntactically incorrect. You cannot convert from const char to char[255]. You'd need to use strcpy(), or equivalent, instead.

dont use csTemp.operator LPCTSTR(), use instead (LPCTSTR)csTemp.

Hi all,

we use WinHttp with SSL enabled for secure client/server connections. We have a private PKI and need to import our CA certificate into an appropriate truststore, so the SSL handshake runs through. Preparing a truststore outside the application is no option. We started with temporarily importing the CA certificate into the system certstore, but of course this fails for users without admin rights. We didn't like this approach, because it side effects all other applications accessing the system truststore, but saw no other choice to achieve our goal.

My questions are:
- can we create a temporary truststore and tell WinHttp to use this truststore for the SSL handshake?
- if not, what other choice do we have?
