override the OnContextMenu function.?
i worte all the code u have given in Myclist::ContextMenu.
but where we notice to call this context menu.

You don't need to call the OnContextMenu function.
It is called by the framework when the user has clicked the right mouse button (right clicked) in the window.(from MSDN)

Cross check that you have inherited a class from list box and then overridden the OnContextMenu function over there.Do not forget to change the type of the variable to CMyList.It works.

if you have a derived CListBox you can declare OnContextMenu in this class
and see this

I want to write a fax server program which can handle faxes with modem device.
Is there any one who knows about such dll or library.
I see some examples but they were in OCX format and I can not use them in VC++ , do you know a dll program for this purpose.

I have some problems with OCX files in VC++.
thus I try to find a dll or lib for fax.

I have been using the WinFax API for about 2 days now. I had some troble getting it on my system. To get it, download the http://207.46.19.60/downloads/details.aspx?familyid=EBA0128F-A770-45F1-86F3-7AB010B398A3&displaylang=en[^] software. I don't know exactly where the WinFax is, so I just downloaded the whole thing and it eventually got installed on my system (winfax.h and winfax.lib).

The API is very simple to use and I got it working in about 30 minutes. I still have some problems, but maybe it is enough for what you want to do.

To get help check http://windowssdk.msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms758644.aspx[^]. Start off with "FaxConnectFaxServer" and "FaxSendDocument".

my requirement is that in my my menu , i want to make one item text colorful like aming file ,edit,view and test(my item)
i want test to be written in blue .
is it possible and how i can implement it.

U can surely make an item colorful as u want. Make the menu item u want MF_OWNERDRAW using ModifyMenu ().

I agree that you shouldn't go die. I think people should only offer their opinion on this site, I try their best not to be offensive. So, don't go die.

My opinion about your help request is that it is only interesting to me if it involves challanging programming issues. It doesn't seem, from your post, that you will be interesting in developing software to solve your problem. And that's good, because it would, probably, be illegal.

If your post does not involve challanging programming issues then I rather spend my time doing something else instead of trying to help you.

Anyway, you may get more help if you goole it instead of posting it here.

i've gotten a programming book and begun building a program myself, its fun and challenging and perfecly legal, its my account, can't i screw around with some code just to see their effects? but anyways, its fun gunning down ur enemies online with unlimited life while their screwed, gets bored after a while, but thats the point, i start hacking games when im addicted to them and need to cure myself from virtual reality our i'll become a fat lazy zombiee! Hi all
I am making a dialog based application.
Now when we press "Esc" button then dialog is closed.
Now I want to stop this activity that is if press Esc button then dialog should not be closed.

Please help ( better if provide some code snippet for implementing this)

Open your application class Say Check1App and override PreTranslateMessage in this class.
Add this code to the PreTranslateMessage function.
