Visual studio 2005 generates a manifest file automatically. But in 2003 and vc 6.0 we will create it separately and include it in the resource file. So you will have to delete the RT_MANIFEST from the resource file. This will solve your problem.

After you remove the manifest from the resources, you can add the extra manifest entries you need to
the project settings.

Go to site www.perfectxml.com.It contains a good code to write xml.You have to use msxml and the
IXMLDOMNode objects.Initially you may face problem owing to different versions of msxml available.
A few days back i created the code for creating,reading and writing xml file.First try on you own,if still you are not able to i am ready to help but with hints above you can start.

just a guess... i you want the user to see only Install.ini, what do you use a CFileDialog ?
BTW, have you read the MSDN to see the filter construction syntax ?

If you just want to check for file existence, see GetFileAttributes() function.

I think you can do it with direct show. In that you will get the samples with time .. So u can check with ur argument and save..
But it is not as simple as me just said.  , Anyway i think the right path is to go with direct show, and buling filter graph. I will check this on free time.. and let you know.

I need to play with image magick on dialog based application of vc++(MFC) and i have installed the image magic(dynamic dll of binary version).
when i use the below code snippet,got runtime error.....
Code:

Hi,
If you want to use the functions contained in your DLL, you've to load this DLL in the memory space of your process. To do that you need to call the Win32 API function LoadLibrary (see MSDN) . After that you can obtain pointers to the desired function and you would be abele to call it.

From the MSDN:
"LBS_MULTICOLUMN
Specifies amulti columnn list box that is scrolled horizontally. The LB_SETCOLUMNWIDTH message sets the width of the columns".

IS ur items have enough width ? otherwise Increase you item width..(give some lengthy string in item)
