Well, creating a DLL is quite simple, on the other hand, putting it into orbit is a rather complex task. Roll eyes | :rolleyes:

In the properties of the DLL project, set the "No Entry Point" property in the advanced linker options to true.

I need to compile the vc++ 6.0 code project into vs2008 (c++). Please anyone provide me the guidnace or any link, that help me out to remove all the errors after conversation.

1- double-click on the DSP (or is it DSW) file.
2- accept to convert the project files.
3- save
4- build-all
5- look at the errors/warning
6- google the error number
7- fix them.
8- goto 4

anyway ... most errors are due to new method/functions prototypes in MFC, and some deprecated C functions.

This signature was proudly tested on animals.

Hi All,

How to split the CString in MFC?
My clode is:

CString str;
str = "READ rd659885676R8667U7788";

I need to split the CString with " "(space). That is i need "READ" in one variable and "rd659885676R8667U7788" in another variable.

Please help me.........

CString::Tokenize() ?

For urgent purposes, you can try TokenizeUrgnz().

Hello.

I can use CClientDC and its TextOut function in C~~View class.
It's quite simple like this:

void C~~View::OnLButtonDown(UINT nFlags, CPoint point)
{
CClientDC dc(this);
dc.TextOut(x, y, "..");
}

Yet when I use this function in my 'added' class, which is not derived class of CView,
an error occurs.
like this:

void CMyclass::memfunc()
{
CClientDC dc(this);
dc.TextOut(x, y, "..");
}

So I changed the code like this:

  [C~~View.cpp]
void C~~View::OnLButtonDown(UINT nFlags, CPoint point)
{
CClientDC dc(this);
CMyclass myclass;
myclass.memfunc(dc);
}
  [CMyclass.cpp]
void CMyclass::memfunc(CClientDC dc)
{
dc.TextOut(x, y, "..");
}

And errors still occur.
Of course, I linked the header file of my class to C~~View.cpp.
I want to display Text or Images on window with code in 'my class'.
Please give me advice or ideas. Thank you.

You should pass the device context by reference, i.e. change your function definition (remember to change the declaration too):

void CMyclass::memfunc(CClientDC & dc)
{
  dc.TextOut(x, y, "..");
}

If you check the documentation you see that CClientDC's constructor[^] gets a CWnd (or derivate) pointer, my guess would be that your own class has nothing to do with CWnd. Explain a bit more what you want to do.

What I meant was :
In MFC single document, I want to show Text on main window. And I also want this function to be operated in my 'own' class(which is a derived class of CWnd), not in CView class.

Pallini's answer is the best solution to my question (how nice of him/her Smile | :)

). It works well.
And now I've found another solution.

Hello

I make R&D virtual printer driver and I am using HP Color LaserJet 8500 PCL driver for
EMF spool file generation. It is not grayscale supported printer driver .SO when I print color
Document to black/ white use with color selection. But the EMF spool files in color.
If I convert EMF to BMP, the BMP size is as per as printer size 5000*4000 …so large. So it takes more time for image processing.
SO
Any one suggests how to convert direct color EMF file to black/ white or gray scale EMF file.
or
Suggest any grayscale, Color and Black/White also default EMF spool file generator Printer name.
Or
Any otherWay?

Hi there.

Incase a stored precedure returns a set of records, then I can read the same by below code...

while(!recordset-> EndOfFile)
{
_variant_t var;
var = recordset->Fields->GetItem(L"TestName")->GetValue();
var = recordset->Fields->GetItem(L"TestID")->GetValue();

Now, incase a stored precedure retunrs only a single value, lets say a hardcoded value "100", then how can I get that.
My main problem is, I am not aware of the column type, so how to read this returned value? please suggest.
