I've been using the free version of Advanced Installer[^] to build the installer for this[^] app for several years. It meets my needs and the price is hard to beat.

<mmppf:MediaPlayer x:Name="YoutubePlayer" Visibility="Visible" IsFullScreenVisible="True"
IsFullScreenChanged="YoutubePlayer_IsFullScreenChanged"
Stretch="UniformToFill" MediaQuality="HighDefinition"
IsResolutionIndicatorVisible="True" IsSignalStrengthVisible="False" IsAudioSelectionVisible="True" IsPlayPauseVisible="True"
IsSkipAheadVisible="True" IsSkipBackVisible="True"
MediaOpened="YoutubePlayer_MediaOpened"
MediaEnded="YoutubePlayer_MediaEnded"
MediaQualityChanged="YoutubePlayer_MediaQualityChanged" ></mmppf:MediaPlayer>
private async void YoutubePlayer_IsFullScreenChanged(object sender, RoutedPropertyChangedEventArgs<bool> e)
{
try
{
}
catch(Exception ex)
{
var dialog = new MessageDialog(ex.Message);
dialog.ShowAsync();
}
}
1.isfullwindows of on media player framework are getting true and then video plays on "fullwindow" but be lost control(play,pause...) although I had touch on screen.
2.isfullscreen ==true and it will be not play on fullwindows because of media player framework lies inside grid. that means <grid width=300 height=400> and then media player framework will play fullsreen of grid(media player framework.width=300...)
Note: On XAML are getting much "grid" tags
my ways is create new pages and just show video. but I don't want do that. It look bad.
How to solve it? I want play on fullwindow but still keep an control(play, pause...).

ive asked a question before this, so this is like a follow up to explain my situation better..i got a oppertunity of a lifetime. i got employed for coding yet dont have experience, but thats not the case: the guy that employed me gave me 1 month to train and get comfortable in coding , so im doing c# its a relativly easy language though but im like halve way thru my month and i feel im not as far in as ive shudve been. i can do basic coding with arraylist ect ect made acouple of programs like mp3 players pictureviewers and some random stuff i played with , my next project is a point of sales system. thats whats expected of me,and i know absolutly nothing of sQls to work with a database and all that , so my question is what should i look for ? tips? any links to quick and easy understandable tutorials / what types of pos should i use/web base/local/ why ? honestly i dont even know whats everyting on a Pos

When you started this month, did you do something sensible like get a book and start working your way through it, or just sit down, look at code and try to work it out?
The reason I ask is that you talk about "basic coding with arraylist ect" and the ArrayList class was superseded by the Generic Collections like List<T> and such like about ten years ago...so you shouldn't be learning how to use them at all.
I can't help feeling you have wasted your month so far, and need to start again...

i started reading thru some pdfs on c# , googled some help here and there when i got stuck to explain to me whats goin on like definitions ect ect , but mostly i just followed tutorials and downloaded a few exercises,and worked on them until i got it right

The problem with that approach is that you aren't following a guided learning path. Instead, you are following links to what seems relevant - and it definitely looks like you've gone wrong. As OG points out, the fact that you think an ArrayList is relevant (it's not been a recommended approach since .NET 2 came out) is concerning. If I were you, I'd look at taking out a subscription to Pluralsight.com[^] and using the online tutorials there, or buying Jon Skeet's book, C# In Depth[^].

thanx for the links , ill take a look at Pluralsight.com, now and work from there. this sux that means my time was wasted

The trouble is that to implement a POS system, you need to know how to design and access databases, UI, multiuser and a whole pile of other things - that "some pdfs on c#" and a few tutorials aren't necessarily going to begin to introduce.
C# the language is trivial: you can learn that in an afternoon! But what's behind it - the .NET framework - is enormous and will take months to learn (I've been using it for years and still there is new stuff in it!)
I think you are going to be in a big hole, but...start with a google of what a POS system is[^] and involves, and start working out what you need to do, then what you need to learn to do it. Trust me - this is not a trivial project!

okay tanx for the advice, mmm im feeling concerned now coz what am i supposed to show the guy in at the end of the month

Ouch! Dunno - but I'd concentrate on trying to get to the point where he considers keeping you on another month...

It seems you've bitten off much more than you can chew. Creating a POS from scratch is a task more suited for an architect. Implementing pieces of a POS (or any enterprise application) can be done by developers of varying experience. I don't mean to belittle you, but am just making an honest observation.
A request: please don't use txtspk in your posts. Thanks.

jamesmc1535 wrote: whats txtspk ? It's how you type when texting - i.e. omission of vowels from words. It's not very welcome at CodeProject because it gives the impression that you don't want to take the trouble to properly ask a question, yet expect the CP community to respond to your request for assistance.

I would second Pete's recommendation of Jon Skeet's, excellent, book. However, as the name implies, it is and 'in depth' look at C# and might be advanced for a beginner.
Microsoft Virtual Academy offers free beginner's courses in C# and more advanced topics.
Good luck.

Hey, my question is above..
I used this example: C# does Shell, Part 3[^]
This is the relevant code:
namespace Sidebar
{
public partial class frmSidebar : ShellLib.ApplicationDesktopToolbar
{
Dictionary<string, string> apps;
#region "General Loading"
public frmSidebar()
{
InitializeComponent();
}
private void frmSidebar_Load(object sender, EventArgs e)
{
// setup basics
this.Edge = AppBarEdges.Right; // should place the window(defined as "None" in FormBorderStyle)
// unrelevant stuff
}
Screenshots:

Best regards, blacktech!
