What possible use to an application user would there be of showing 2 million records? Do you ever go past page 5 on, say, search results at google?
Display what the user wants to see, not everything in the database and expect the user to trawl through hundreds of pages looking for the record he/she wants.

iTextSharp (.NET) and libHaru (native language) comes to my mind. But I'm not sure if they allow you to extract "specific data" from a PDF file. You might be able to extract the whole contents of the file and you can create a text file out of this extracted data.

Hi
I have two projects, A and B. A is referencing B. And I want to compile programmatically in the project A the referenced project B to a DLL-File.
How can I do that?

By deploying the command line compiler, and running it with Process.Start, I guess. Why do you want to do that ? I'm not sure what changes you can make to the dll and have your reference still work.

Wow! Thanks for that fast answer!
Hm, could you explain that more detailed, because I am kind of a newbie in all that compiling stuff...
I am part of a team and my part is to compile this DLL, based on the interface definition

I just glanced over the link you gave me. Seemes to be good help.
But in my case, it's the user who is generating this DLL dynamically.
In the article you gave me, it is described how to compile the DLL by giving the source files (.cs) as parameters. But when I release my application the user just gets a .exe file of the application, without the .cs files. How can I compile the project without the given source files, just the released .exe file?

You can't....there would be nothing to compile! What exactly are you expecting the user to compile? If they already have a compiled exe and no .cs files what more could they want?
|
|
|
|
|
Hmm ...
The aim is to have a DLL consisting just one of those projects -> the second one which is refered by the first one. The user selects a XML-Definition file which is going to be a ressource and than it generates the DLL.

Read the guidlines on how to ask a question to get the best results. Asking for urgent responses is not one of them. All here are volunteers, if you need urgent support get your CC out and visit one of the paid support forums.
You might also try doing some research[^]
I assue you want to do this from C#, in an application you have created, you do not say!

The dll is written in VB ? using the same version of .NET ? What is the exact error message ?

You're surely not deploying such badly written code ?
Is the version number correct ? The dll is definitely in the same directory ? What about other dlls that this dll depends on ?

In your Setup Project Right Click and select View and the View menu select "File System" if its a Web Application Click on the "Web Application Folder" To see the Contents that will be Shipped with the Installer, if you your DLL does not exist there , Right Click and say "Add--> File" and locate the File in your Project Folders and Rebuilt with release and try it again.
Hope it Helps

This has nothing to do with C#. Absolutely nothing. It's a javascript/AJAX question.
