You can get to it by visiting his profile and clicking on the recent posts. You have to do the clickety one and it pops up.

Even easier:

What do you mean by "not able to see"? Do you mean intellisense isn't working? Does the code simply not compile? What?

5 bucks says it's in a template control (datalist, formview, etc).

Hi guys, Can anyone of you help me to start building a virtual listbox. I don't want to use Listview. It doesn't provide what i want, so I chose to work with listbox. I want to know how the mechanism works for the virtual listbox
Thanks

You haven't been particularly clear about what you want your virtual listbox to do... Do you want some features but not others?

If you give your post a title, then people can click on it to open the message. Without a title, most people will find it difficult to get to your message.

Give your post a title, please. Makes it rather hard to reply to it.

I made have mis-guided you guys on my other post regarding this top so I thought I create a new thread. Sorry...
Question:
How is it possible in code to add my machine's printers (i.e. the ones in printers and faxes) on to a remote machine?
At present I can get a list of printers on my local machine but not sure how to add these to a remote machine.
Any thoughts please?
Thanks

So can you do that manually? Can you add the printer to machineB from machineA using an sort of admin tool? If so how? My admin guys know of no existing tools to do that.

Yes, manually is fine. I would like to do this in c#.

Can you post how, or provide link to a source that shows how?

Hi,
By manually I mean, going to the printers list and manually go through the adding a new printer wizard. Do you see?
Sorry for the delay.
Thanks

No that's not the same thing
arkiboys wrote: on to a remote machine?
I asked if you can manually add it to the remote machine. That is what my IT guys say is not possible. If you can't do it manually then there is nothing to automate now is there?

Hi All...
I've got a C# service (Windows Service) that does not show up in the services list after I install it. Does anyone know why this happens

Did you create an installer for it?
I'm guessing that you "installed" it using the installutil.exe but haven't created an installer in the service assembly.
Have a look at this[^].

That's the joke... It has an installer in the assembly

Hmmm... what's the install log say? No exceptions?
On a looooong shot - refresh services list in services.msc.

If it doesn't show up in the list of services, it didn't install correctly.
This probably means the installer class in your service is broken.

I replaced the installer class, stgill the same. No exceptions either

Without being able to see your installer class code, I don't think we can't help you any further.

John, I have searched the forums for one of your old replies involving drawing a chalk circle on the floor and other things , without success. I so wanted to use it the other day.
Can you repost that here or link to the old reply?
