Hello everyone,
Gestures 14 + is my final year project on hand gesture recognition using computer vision.Gestures 14 + supports 14 types of hand gestures.It has also got a learning mode.
This project uses AForge.NET framework
I want to share this with u ppl
Here is the video demonstration of the project

What you guys have to say about the project??

Nice video, but it would be more interesting if you wrote an article about it.

Hi Iam using C#2010. From my MdiParent toolstrip Iam using the following codes to open the mdichild
Public partial Class Form1 : Form
{
Form3 MyNewName=New Form3();
private void toolStripButton2_Click(object sender, EventArgs e)
{
MyNewName.MdiParent = this;
MyNewName.FormBorderStyle = FormBorderStyle.None;
MyNewName.Dock = DockStyle.Fill;
MyNewName.Show();
}
}
And For once the close button is clicked all of mdichildren use to close by its MDI_form closing event.
But the problem is I cannot reopen the form "Its saying caanot access a disposed object" And if I use
Form3 MyNewName=New Form3();
then the other subs are not running...
So how to keep the instances permanently even if the form is closed?
And Instead of Form hide any other better ideas?
Thanks & Regards PARAMU

From Reflector, the code for Form.Close is:
public void Close()
{
if (base.GetState(0x40000))
{
throw new InvalidOperationException(SR.GetString("ClosingWhileCreatingHandle", new object[] { "Close" }));
}
if (base.IsHandleCreated)
{
this.closeReason = CloseReason.UserClosing;
base.SendMessage(0x10, 0, 0);
}
else
{
base.Dispose();
}
}
So as you can see, if you close the form, it will be disposed. If you want to keep the same instance, hide it. Otherwise, check if your field is null, if so - recreate it; if not, show it.

Thanks Dave...I get clear.

I have an app that replies to all AT commands except for ATD7059999999. When I go to HyperTerminal all commands including ATD7059999999 works. I even tried ATDT.
What can Hyperterminal be doing that I'm not?

As you are in Canada I believe you need to add the country code of 1 before the area code. Try ATDT1-705-999-9999. Hyperterminal automatically prefixes the code for you.

on top of what it may do to your phone number itself, HyperTerminal and your code could differ in a couple of ways:
1. the way you and they use the serial port's control lines;
2. the timing; you typing at HT sure works slower than your code possibly working at CPU speeds.

Circle gets a square!
It was all about timing.
Thank you!

Hi,
I need to do a Publish of my application (ClickOnce) so people can install my application from the web. With ClickOnce the setup.exe file is automatically created. What I have done in my application is to add a "Visual Studio Setup project" (which I named AppSetup) and there I have made an important Custom Action in the Install folder.
How can I make ClickOnce create the setup.exe based on AppSetup instead of creating a default setup.exe automatically? If this is not possible, how can I make Custom Actions on the setup.exe (that ClickOnce creates automatically) before I publish my application?
In short: is there a way to make the automatically created setup.exe (with ClickOnce) have a CustomActionData?
Thanks in advance.

Ok, no answer and I understand why: After doing more research I found out that ClickOnce doesn’t support custom action or something similar to let user take action when install/uninstall/etc happens.

hi
i have used Nokia 7610 as GSM modem. i use the following code to receive a call on computer but it did not work.
serialPort1.PortName = "COM4";
serialPort1.BaudRate = 115200;
serialPort1.DataBits = 8;
serialPort1.Parity = Parity.None;
serialPort1.StopBits = StopBits.One;
serialPort1.Open();
on button click i added the AT command to receive a call
serialPort1.Write("ATA");
but it did not work. please tell me what i m doing wrong
thanks

1. you started a new thread, rather than continuing the existing one here[^].
2. you aren't specific enough. "it does not work" doesn't provide any information.
Did you do any research? did you try Google? have you read related CodeProject articles?

1. i was not sure to continue that thread or not..
2. it did not work means it did not receive call. do nothing.
3. yes i try Google. i do lot of search but could not find anything that satisfy me.
Algorithm is clear in my mind but i do not know how to implement it in c#.
i tried but no vain.

What does "it did not receive call" mean??
Are you saying that you want your code to take the phone "off hook" so you can talk to the person? Or are you trying to talk to the person using the PC mic and speakers?
|
|
|
|
|
yes a kind of. actually my application will receive a call and perform some action as user asked it.
like if user say button1 turns green. then it should turns green. Microsoft SDK 5.1 is used in this application for speech recognization. n it follows the instruction when it is given by mic. but now i want to do this with cell phone. clear?
i have received the call. means if i click button on form the call is received. but now the problem is that i want to transfer the call on computer means if i say something the computer should understand it but the problem is that call is not transfer on computer.
any idea how can this be done?
|
|
|
|
|
You can't do this with a cell phone and the speech SDK. Actually, you can't do it with a cell phone at all. You'd have to have a TAPI 3.0 compatible modem in the machine and setup your app to take voice commands over TAPI, kind of like talking to a phone system.
|
|
|
|
|
|
OK, have fun with that, 'cause I still have no idea what you're really trying to do with this. All of your descriptions are assuming that we know things about your intentions and how you're using terminology. What you're saying still doesn't make any sense.
|
|
|
|
|
actually my project is to control some actions on computer through cell phone using AT commands like i have to make call from my cell phone that should be received on computer and follow the instruction as given by me.
clear?
|
|
|
|
|
TAPI is the only way you're going to make this work. And you'll have to have a TAPI 3.0 compatible modem in the machine to receive the call. AT commands on your cell phone won't do you any good at all.

hmm ok. i do search on it.

I'm a mathematical simulation(FCFS-first come first served). I want to look a rectangular motion over time (in seconds) but I do not know how the code.
Suppose at first 2 seconds, then I will give a rectangular appearance and color flowed from left to phai.Trong the initial rectangle is 4 seconds to fill the rectangle appear in 4 seconds and travel moved into position under the rectangle 1.Khi rectangular rectangular bowl is finished, the original rectangular bowl first two starts. And there will be more rectangular rear again ...
This is the example.
http://cB8.upanh.com/22.902.29916387.iVy0/hinh.jpg[^]
When rectangle 1 is a bowl to 4 seconds, rectangle 2 appear and wait, When rectangle 1 is a bowl to 11 seconds,rectangle 3 appear and wait. When finished, rectangle 2 begin fill .and rectangle 3 fill when rectangle 3 finished .
Can you suggest some code for their home, or you share the code with your own. I thank you!

I understood only a fraction, and the link times out; but I guess the guide lines in this article[^] should be quite useful.
