I am looking for a C# WPF carousel project, but so far I was not able to find any that works.
The effect must be similar to those that can be done with flash or to this screen shot:

I'm looking for some good starting points for creating a call center utilizing VOIP.
Basically, I need to somehow accept incoming phone calls, present the customer with a brief automated message, and then transfer them to an available rep.
The catch however is the reps are not all within the same location. The reps answer phone calls from their home computer.
I was originally looking into TAPI 3.0 but since I'm looking to transfer calls via VOIP, I don't think this is a viable option.
Does anyone know of some good tutorials on this or know of some (modifiable) software that can handle this?
Thanks.

I am having trouble getting a regular expression to match a dollar value. The string I'm using is:
\b\$35,000\b
If I remove the \$ then it matches the 35,000 string, so I am guessing I must be doing something wrong.

I think this will match US currency for you.
^\$(?:\d{1,3}(?:\,\d{3})*|(?:\d+))(?:\.\d{2})?$

Hi,
Thnks for the concern. Window control means and ActiveX control which haves a richtextbox. I put this activeX in web page which causes the problem. But it is not happening in desktop application.

I'm interested in determining the current state of a process.
The process is launched by my application, and the program run in the new process is a particularly warty legacy app.
Successful runs are fine, but if there is an error in the app, it stops and displays a message box about the error, and everything grinds to a halt.
Is there any way to determine if the process has become idle so that I can kill it?

Hi
I want to pass the culture information of the web page to a web service. How shall I do this.
I tried setting the calling web page's culture to Spanish and accessed the current thread's UI culture in web service. Culture information is english (en-US), when accessed from web service. How shall I proceed to pass the exact culture information (spanish) to the web service.
TIA

Do you mean the language that the user prefers as set in the browser, or the culture settings used on the server when creating the web page?
Are you calling the web service from the server creating the page or from the page in the browser?
A SOAP call doesn't contain any culture information, but if it's called from the browser, the http header may contain the language preference of the user. If you want to use a culture in the web service based on a setting from wherever it's called, you can send the culture string (e.g. "en-US") to the web service, and create a CultureInfo object using the string.

clarifications to your...
Do you mean the language that the user prefers as set in the browser, or the culture settings used on the server when creating the web page? Actually the application would detect the culture settings automatically and upon which the content of the page would be displayed.
Are you calling the web service from the server creating the page or from the page in the browser? The webservice may reside on the same server where the page is created.
I tried viewing the HTTP header information in the service. I am not able to find that the culture information is being passed. Would the culture information be present in the header? Am i missing anything?
Regarding your idea of passing the culture information to the service and build CultureInfo object in the service...idea is good. But there are lots of methods which are present in the service so it would be a problem in changing the method signature everywhere. Would there be anyother solution?
I am still searching to get a solution.
Thanks for your participation.

Amazing. You managed to avoid to answer both my questions. I still don't know what culture setting it is that you want you application to detect, and I still don't know from where you call the web service.

Ooops! I will make my point clear...
I want my application to detect whatever culture setting that is set in the web application. I mean auto detection.
Regarding your second question, the point of calling web service...the webservice would reside on different machine to the calling web application.
Hope this anwers your doubts!

You can't detect that automatically in the web service. That information is not sent in the SOAP request. If you need that information in the web service you have to specifically send it along as a parameter.

When I try to serialize object that contains hashTable it works fine.
but while deserialize is in process, first the program deserialize the hashTable and after it, comes to the object that contains it.
Then I have an exception, at the object constructor when I try to use the hashTable.
Thanks

If the file is in local drive then it works fine but if it is an URL path then it throws an exception.
example: string _SourceFilePath = "c:\\TMPSTORE\\tmp030104.xls";
it is working fine, but if the file is from http:// url
example: string _SourceFilePath = //http://TMPQADMOMAP101:8090//0000329/0000082/9999/0000016_0000000_tmp030104_V0004.xls;
string XlsFileName=_SourceFilePath;
string strConn;
strConn = @"Provider=Microsoft.Jet.OLEDB.4.0;" +
"Data Source="+XlsFileName+";" +
"Extended Properties=Excel 8.0;";
System.Data.DataTable dt = null;
OleDbConnection objConn = null;
objConn = new OleDbConnection(strConn);
objConn.Open();

It throws an exception because
isn't a valid path.
Whatever you used to build this path put a couple of "/" marks at the beginning of the path, and invalidated it in the process.
On top of this, you probably can't use an HTTP path as a data source because you more than likely don't have Write access to the file over HTTP.
