Hi All

I want to access a file from remote machine on my LAN. When i execute \\MyServer\C$ in my RUN Window, It asks for the username & password of remote machine. After that i can access the file through my .NET code. But after logging of from my machine and then again logging in, that code does not work.
Can anyone please tell me how can i pass user credentials through my .NET code to access remote machine file.

How to control html page containing frame object by AxWebBrowser?
I wrote the code as following.

HTMLDocument doc = (HTMLDocument)this.WebBrowser.Document;
object index = 1;
IHTMLWindow2 window = (IHTMLWindow2)doc.frames.item(ref index);
doc = (HTMLDocument)window.document;
-----

The error message was like this (I'm sorry for Japanese):

'System.InvalidCastException' のハンドルされていない例外が mscorlib.dll で発生しました。

追加情報: インターフェイスがサポートされていません

I tried translate above message.

the same problem occurred when I tried this code

So, what is the problem?

Perhaps doc.frames.item(ref index) isn't returning an IHTMLWindow2 interface? I'd check that in the debugger, see the actual type that is being returned before assuming it is an IHTMLWindow2.

No, that misses the mark.
Because this error occurs even if the code doesn't use the cast.

Here's what I want.

1. I have remote ftp server(with ip, user, pwd).

I want to make virtual ftp folder using shell extension which directs me to ftp server after asking about the user, pwd.

Can anyone tell me about the detailed descriptive article on this issue.

Any hint will also be welcome.

Crystal reports for .net has its own wizard where you can build the report, you have to link the project to view it, search for the examples in the code project

I do have Table Employee in SQL Server 2000

Fields in Employee Table - Empno,Ename,Esal

I want to display these details in DataGridView.

and my column headings in DataGridView like Employee No, Name,Salary.

How to bind values to DATAGRIDVIEW using DATASET.

Hello All,
I have simple client application and i have to refresh this client side form only when some event occurs.I have to store this event in database and check in database to see if any event occured and if any event ocuured then the client side is to be refreshed.
I dont know how to do this?

Is this a high transactional database. What is the rate of such events. I had encountered similar scenario and I did the following

(1) If any event occur in the database, write the data to a Database Table inside a trigger( specifically for this).
(2) A windows service in Client keeps polling this table after say every 30 sec.
(3) If records are found do the refresh.

hi.. i am planning to build an application that involves sms. the concept is mobile phone1 sends a messsage that contains keywords (example BALANCE) to another mobilephone2 that is connected to a computer. Once received, it accesses the computer's database. The information is retrieved and then is sent to the mobile phoneA.
The problem is i don't know where to start. can u guys give me a clue? i also need resources of existing application for my documentations.. please help.. tnx

Well if it is C# class then you can reference your dll in another C# project... COM registration is unnecessary in this case.
Just right click on References in Project EXplorer (assuming you use Visual Studio) and add your dll... you can then simply use all public classes in that dll.

Hi
I am completely new to c# .so i am just into basics.
just now i am beginning to work with windows forms

now i have to add a text box and a insert button
now when iam entering the text it should be inserted when the button is clicked.
now wht i need is that when the text box is empty and when i clicked the button , it should show a message saying that textbox is empty

I Think this is very smalll problem. But as iam new, pls guide me to do it .

Subscribe to the button's click event (Double click on the button in Forms Designer, if you're using VS) and then inside the event handler, check if the textbox's Text property is equal to String.Empty

i) arrange/sort people's names displayed in a listbox in alphabetical order AND by their surnames?

ii) search for people by name? (my code now can only search by their ID no.)

Hi!

Im new to c# but I'l try my best to be of help.

i) the answer is posted just about 5 topic post below yours

ii) I think its either you create 2 search buttons one for the ID no and the other for the name or create a dropdownlist that triggers the search function when you select one of the items inside it. Name or ID.

of course its only logic I still have to figure out how to do it by code. hehe
