If something has a solution... Why do we have to worry about?. If it has no solution... For what reason do we have to worry about?
Help me to understand what I'm saying, and I'll explain it better to you
Rating helpful answers is nice, but saying thanks can be even nicer.

There's currently a tip/trick in moderation that simply copies a stored procedure from an answer on Stackoverflow. He does reference that answer but adds absolutely nothing to it. Is that okay?

No - that would be plagiarism.

Maybe in this case, because he referenced the answer on Stackoverflow and probably thought it would be okay this way, just close the tip/trick and tell him off?

Why did he think it would be ok?
What did he add to it that helps others? Or was he just trying to get rep points / publications?
If I copy the code from one of your articles and reference where I got it from it does that make it fair?
If he was new here, then that's one thing - but the official line on plagiarism is "go forth and multiply"[^]
I don't have a problem with that.

No it's not OK. You can quote or use portions of other's work, but it can't make up the bulk of your submission. In doing so you're simply posting someone else's work.
I've removed it.
cheers

So nobody saw the spam link to some stupid code dotcom site at the end.
This is plagiarism decorated spam.

OriginalGriff wrote: The actual article is gone, but if you search that page for "CSS" you get the full text of the introductory paragraph to the artcile here, but with a publication date 6 days earlier.
But this page[^] has a link to the article on Trenton's site, and is dated a day earlier than that. The article itself is dated 26 July 2010.
However, the author's name on the "webcredible" article is Paul McCarthy, not Trenton Moss.
