Oh, and please don't post the title of spam posts, it confuses the spam filter system that Chris put in place. It also gives the spammers some help in that the message is linked to with the text they use to get the messages ranked higher on search engines.
What do you get when you cross a joke with a rhetorical question?

Thank you very much.
Only I cannot understand how the link to the post can confuse anything and what exactly do you suggest to post? Some may need some evidence of the abuse. Also, I don't believe the title can do any harm.

Chris has a number of reasons for that, but I cannot be arsed to look for the post he made about it right now (going to bed soon). From what I remember, bots index these links, and they show up in search results. They also give spammers more visibility in those results because of the keywords in the title.
Just use the URL itself as the text, or something like 'Message' or 'Messages' (for the user's message list). I use the second way myself. I also use 'Luser' to link to the (l)user account.

I think this is a planned operation going on since morning. They have been regularly opening different accounts and posting such sh*ts.
I think Original Griff put up a nice thought of having some Coding captcha for opening account, so that somewhat these kinda spammers be avoided.
Just a thought.

And what if the account are opened by humans and then used with bots?
Besides, copy + paste is not so difficult, so once the message is done...
