Cats are some of the most photogenic animals on the planet, except for when those photos are generated by artificial intelligences. Then, the cute and cuddly creatures become creepy, nightmare cats. OK, this is how you stop AI from taking over the world - get them addicted to cats (next up: cat videos)

So we're back to having cats take over the world? Or are they just taking steps to consolidate their power?

Forget what you know about how faster development increases risk. If your approach to security is slowing you down, it’s only a question of which you’ll lose faster — your data or your customers. Yeah, don't bother with that security stuff
((OK, it doesn't say anything like that, but the way a manager might interpret it is. ))

Of the Technical Specifications (TSes) heading into C++20 the following are ready to go and there is already interest at the Toronto meeting to either merge various TSes into the C++20 draft, or advance them to their next stage in the TS. (maybe) Coming (not very) soon to a compiler near you

In the rest of this talk, I'm going to explain our goals for Go 2; our constraints and limitations; the overall process; the importance of writing about our experiences using Go, especially as they relate to problems we might try to solve; the possible kinds of solutions; how we will deliver Go 2; and how all of you can help. How could he miss the opportunity for a goto there?

On the downside, it turns over all your personal data to mega corporations, who then leak it to criminals within two years.
But on the good side, it makes your IT environment more complex and difficult to manage!

Is the coherence of the universe an accident or the product of something deeper, perhaps some kind of proto-consciousness that permeates the universe and gives it purpose? See, this is what happens when you legalize marijuana

How about desires? Why is it more logical for a universe to have a purpose then simply desires? Most of the universe seems quite content to simply exist without having to report a reason for its existence, let alone a goal.

Eddy Vluggen wrote: As for being sentient; how important is it for a bacteria in our gut that our host is sentient? Seems to be the opposite here. We certainly are sentient, the universe may or may not be. If it is, then it's probably orders of magnitude more intelligent than we are. That doesn't make us bacteria. Being that much more intelligent would likely mean the Universe would recognize us as sentient, albeit of a differing kind and order.
