According to The Freelancer’s Union, one in three Americans (roughly 42 million) is an independent worker. And by 2020, many predict that freelancers will make up 50% of the labor force. "Gunmen. Nowadays, men are cheaper than guns."

No strict timings of work we can use our time as we like and enjoy it as we live.

I read that; the article makes it out to be the best thing that ever happened.. the reality though, is that the vast majority of these 'contractors', make very little money, are disposable labor with no benefits and no security. The model is being adopted as a means of circumventing labor laws and placing all of the control in the hands of the employer..

Absolutely right. Sad (and I have to admit I do like being a freelancer - sometimes), but it is definitely benefiting many company's bottom line.

Google Stars, the long-rumored bookmarking service from Google, has now publicly launched, but with little fanfare. Try it before they cancel it
|

|
|

They probably won't cancel it, they'll just wait until you get used to it then change everything about it and call it 2.0
Sorry I'm still a little bitter...

TIOBE’s latest ranking of programming languages suggests Dart is making progress at JavaScript’s expense, but other data show that’s not the case. I'd put more dart lingo here, if I knew any

Neural Turing Machines attempt to emulate the brain's short-term memory. At last! I'll be able to have a short-term memory

I hope they're not attempting to emulate my short-term memory

Microsoft's Black Tuesday problems continue to pile up. Yesterday brought to light problems with KB 2952664, the seventh patch with that name, which fails to install on a large number of Windows 7 machines. Now there are reports of four more botched patches. It's too early to tell exactly what's causing the problems, but if you're having headaches, you aren't alone -- and there are solutions.
Next they will botch botching things!
What do you get when you cross a joke with a rhetorical question?

We can only dream of Micro$haft botching a botch.
For, that would mean they did things correct for a change.

Mainstream programmers are increasingly expected to be comfortable not just with object-oriented terminology, but with the jargon and mindset of the functional community. "It's a floor wax, and a dessert topping!"
