It's not just that, the engine that would be used to deorbit it in the baseline case is in the Russian segment and relies on prop transferred by Progress capsules.

The OpenSSF’s new Alpha-Omega Project comprises not one but two separate initiatives. They are called Alpha and Omega, respectively, and each seeks to improve the cybersecurity of the open-source software landscape in different ways. Send in the eyes (they're already here)

Plenty of apps that you install on your computer have a setting that tells them to launch when you initially log in to save you the trouble of launching your most commonly used apps yourself. Leaving this setting on can also allow apps to check for updates or launch more quickly when you start them for the first time. The difference for some of the preinstalled Microsoft apps in Windows 10 and 11 is that they use some of these resources by default, whether you actually use the apps or not.
So I'm guessing the Teams and Edge icons in W11 are mauve.

The Teams one is, actually (well, a shade of purple).

Over the next few years, I expect to see increased adoption of WebAssembly across the tech sphere, from containerization to plugin systems to serverless computing platforms. Is it going to do a trick?

When you sign into an unmodified Windows 11 installation, you may notice the side-by-side icons for the Chat app (basically an entry point for the consumer version of Teams — the one with the white T icon) and Widgets. Overhead in Windows? Sayitaintso!

The WinForms OOP Designer has a new and easier approach for hooking up data sources, focusing on Object Data Sources to support .NET based object relational mapper technologies (like the latest version of Entity Framework Core – EF Core for short) which the WinForms team recommends as a successor for Typed DataSets. In case you want to put yourself into a bind

"... a successor for typed data sets" is a misnomer. It still uses typed data sets.

Binding?
You mean not showing progress on loading, just a non responsive UI? Is that a thing?

C++, Go, Rust and cybersecurity shine in O'Reilly Media's analysis, but Python, Java and Javascript still rule. Slightly better than the usual random list generator, but your mileage will vary

Most Windows 10 devices that do not meet the minimum system requirements will stay on that version of Windows, but what happens when Windows 10 runs out of support in 2025? I'm going to guess, "nothing"?
I'm sure there are more than a few XP and Vista machines still running (more-or-less) happily.

I'm still running an NT 4.0 VM on Windows 10 (connected to the outside world only via shared folders on the host, of course).
I use it to run some very old software that can convert from obsolete Hebrew word processors to Word 6 format. Once I have the document in Word 6 format, converting it to docx is trivial.
(Yes, I still have occasional need for such things. It's been a life-saver for some of my father's old documents.)

In place of the standard barcodes affixed to products, which may be removed or detached or become otherwise unreadable over time, these tags are unobtrusive (due to the fact that they are invisible) and far more durable, given that they're embedded within the interior of objects fabricated on standard 3D printers. Microsoft is rolling out a preview of its Lists app that doesn't require a Microsoft 365 subscription -- a move that seems to be part of its MetaOS strategy. Just in case you've filled up all your PostIt notes
