What, people trust any of them!? Good grief.

Asking who you would have trusted in the late 1930s would be hitling the tread.
(Maybe I am doing now, by simply pointing out the possibility.)

I'll go with something like:
"Standard Oil, Zeppelin companies least trusted, Philip Morris most trusted"
Except in their ongoing attempt to spoil my jokes, I learned that Standard Oil was broken up before the 30s. bother.

In terms of companies and governments, none at all (assuming for the sake of argument I was then the person I am now).

Researchers at the MIT CSAIL have just launched a new tool, BuildIt, designed to make it easier for developers to create their own programming languages. Doesn't everyone want their own language?
If anyone is interested in this, I'll save you the search - original paper: http://groups.csail.mit.edu/commit/papers/2021/ajay-cgo21-buildit.pdf

Some time ago I wrote about how to package a .Net Winform application in a one-self contained file Ignoring all the DLLs, of course
"There are cases where a single file app will have more than one file. " Aaaaaaah, oooookaaaaay
|
|
|
|

That's been a thing since .Net was .Nothing. Use ILMerge, and you get a single file.

ILMerge... Pffft.
In Release build only, compress your .DLL's and load the compressed copies into the apps Resources. When needed, find the .DLL in resources and decompress to a MemoryStream and return the requested Assembly.
Results in a much smaller executable.

Microsoft Ignite is coming and the Microsoft Mechanics Twitter account is running a promotion where they are giving away a brand-new Surface Pro 7+ if you merely tweet using their hashtag. What's the first prize?
