They just don't build good spacecraft like they used to
If you have an important point to make, don't try to be subtle or clever. Use a pile driver. Hit the point once. Then come back and hit it again. Then hit it a third time - a tremendous whack.

If something has a solution... Why do we have to worry about?. If it has no solution... For what reason do we have to worry about?
Help me to understand what I'm saying, and I'll explain it better to you
Rating helpful answers is nice, but saying thanks can be even nicer.

Cheer up, they still build the bad stuff like they used to.

It was a rebuilding year in a sense, as emerging tech for the enterprise steadily proceeded but didn't result in as many new targets to track as last year. All of them
Yeah. Slow news weekend, why do you ask?

Could machines assist programmers by taking over the task of bug fixes? Oh, yeah? Well I have a 78.4% bug creation rate.

In other words, so many bugs Microsoft tries to create an AI to fix its bugs... Who's going to fix its bugs?
Common sense is admitting there is cause and effect and that you can exert some control over what you understand.

Rider is a cross-platform .NET IDE: you can use it on Windows, Mac and Linux. Rider lets you develop ASP.NET, .NET Core, .NET Framework, Xamarin and Unity applications. Because some people are allergic to SHOUTY MENUS
Yeah, they got rid of those, but it was the biggest complaint for a while against VS.

I wish they'd add a few more hamsters to their server. For years its taken forever to get to any page on their website. Great products though!

Some think the threshold should be stricter, but others say that’s a bad idea. Somewhere around, "Hmm. That's interesting."

Neutrinos are a challenge to study because their interactions with matter are so rare. How would they know if it's the world's smallest neutrino until they see the rest?
Oh, the detector is small (but bigger than the neutrino). How confusing.

I had to read that a couple times. I kept reading:
World's smallest neutrino detector observes elusive internet particles

New glasses ?

There is truth to that, but not new glasses. Just that annoying place where the glasses I use for driving don't help with viewing the monitor, and the glasses I use for reading a book don't work either because I like my monitors a couple feet away from me, not 6 inches away from my nose.

I can recommmend special computer glasses, recently I bought these, they are varifocal so when needed you can read books too. The main advantage is that when looking at a screen you don't have to hold your head tilted backwards. Also my boss paid for them (but that's a Dutch thing probably )

No, no, that's not what's doing it.
It's site admins who insist that the wrong way is the right way.

No, I never get red squiggly lines anymore. I've been using the Add to Dictionary button for years because I'm a better speller than Clippy.

So I do. But when writing texts in a different language, or texts containing two languages, things become ugly again: you have to tell Word which language to use for which paragraph also...

Tom Kratman ran into a squiggly line problem the other day when Word somehow managed to start using the French dictionary, instead of the English. Suddenly, nothing was spelled correctly.
|
|
|
|
|
That's because the French can't spell! They throw lots of extra letters into every word just to confuse the issue as a cover for the fact they don't actually know how spell!
