Another relevant point behind the attack is the fact that universities own many public IP addresses and set up their networks early - with almost every machine having a public IP address instead of a private IP address...

The astronomer who triggered Pluto's demotion from planetary status hopes to replace it with a new Planet Nine, and thinks his case is getting stronger. We still have no visual confirmation of the hypothesized planet, but evidence for its influence is growing. What, you mean Pluto?

I have already written about Continuum improvements coming to Redstone in the past, but more details regarding app syncing between devices is now coming to light. According to my sources who are familiar with the matter, upcoming improvements to Continuum will introduce “OS X Handoff” like functionality, allowing users to sync apps between devices for working on the go. Launch control software under development for NASA's deep-space exploration program is more than a year behind schedule and tens of millions of dollars above projected costs, according to an internal audit released Monday. It has to count down from ten. How hard can it be?

Well, don't you know, counting down to 0 requires several hundred NPM modules!

My guess is the CSM saw a problem with the countdown in their burndown.

Did you ever see history portrayed as an old man with a wise brow and pulseless heart, waging all things in the balance of reason?
Is not rather the genius of history like an eternal, imploring maiden, full of fire, with a burning heart and flaming soul, humanly warm and humanly beautiful?

Could Microsoft's love for Linux be extending into Windows 10 territory? A newly leaked session title from Microsoft's upcoming Build 2016 developer conference has us Microsoft watchers speculating. Even Microsoft realizes this is The.Year.Of.Linux!
Or maybe this is just their way of sneaking the Win10 install on Linux folk

After months of work, the FBI finally has a way into the San Bernardino iPhone. In a court filing today, prosecutors told the court the new method for breaking into the phone is sound, and Apple's assistance is no longer required. Turns out his password was 12345 after all.

I would imagine Apple already knows about that technique (and probably many more with different success percentage)
I'd rather be phishing!

Not only do they most likely know about it, but probably found a way to fix it for the most part. The phone that they were trying to get into was an older model anyway.

Free upgrade offer lasts another four months; then Microsoft will have to decide whether to keep giving 10 away or call the deal done. One billion devices still just a little farther
Or is it further? Help me out here, Anglo-pedants

That's a little disingenuous given that 25% of the number of Win10 installs were done last week without the system owners' active consent.

Anglo-pedant to the rescue!
"Farther" should be used when talking about actual physical distance.
E.g. "Going East from here, Singapore is farther than London."
"Further" should be used for metaphorical distance or depth.
E.g. "We shouldn't take this any further; the matter is decided."
"Further" can also be used (in poor English, in my opinion) as a verb.
E.g. "Let's further this discussion tomorrow!"
- I would love to change the world, but they won’t give me the source code.

Ah, so in this case I should have used further? Thank you!

when to use further and farther - Google Search[^]
Quote: Farther refers to length or distance. It is the comparative form of the word far when referring to distance. Further means "to a greater degree," "additional," or "additionally." It refers to time or amount. So you should have used "further".

That's for February 2015 to February 2016. If you change the graph to look at the last three days, Win10 gets 20.1%; for the last seven days, it's 18.43%; and 17.13% over the last 30 days.
