Though the abundance of repositories on GitHub that are forks of VS Code is undeniable, the new tools in the market are making VS Code struggle. "Nobody goes there anymore. It's too crowded."
So they're uninstalling it for a *fork* of it. Yes, what a horrid program. :eyeroll:
I mostly agree with that Google engineer though - it is one of the more important products they've put out (I'd still put it behind Excel in overall importance to businesses though)

I'm not sure why not just paywall VS features and trim to a "VS light" skin/default layout though?

I feel like the world would benefit from a consortium of something like the UN building its own enrichment facilities to sell/donate fuel to the world at large.
It's my understanding that if you want fuel it's a slightly different animal than if you want a bomb. Part of nonproliferation would seem to be controlling enrichment itself. "Taxing" nuclear armed nations in the form of having them fund global cooperative fuel enrichment doesn't seem like the worst of ideas.
