Seems like a lot of extra work to end up with coffee flavored alcohol without the caffeine. I can add alcohol to my coffee right now and get the best of both worlds.

Yeah, that part is definitely missing, but it's just a start. Hopefully they'll figure out how to keep the caffeine in there.

Hmm, a key-value store, limited to one per site, so different web app's can overwrite each other's key store without careful use of names.
Effectively a big global variable hash table. That's progress. All managed by a single mutex.
I guess this was largely limited by the browser vendor's racing to implement something - as usual the standard is defined by what people have implemented already.
Ironically, all this the same day as it is announced blink is finally removed.

In a world where Google promotes its browser on YouTube, in cinema pre-rolls, and on billboards, the clear audience is not developers. It’s the mass market - the users. The overwhelming majority. They don’t know it works like this. They don’t expect it to be this easy to see their passwords. Every day, millions of normal, every-day users are saving their passwords in Chrome. This is not okay. This is why I just use "password" everywhere (don't tell anyone)

It's also the best browser for pretty printing XML or copying tabular data into Excel.

Oh, and don't even get me started on how they have "outlawed" that one liner if statement that is perfectly OK. Or the "use spaces instead of tabs" mentality, it just makes me want to throw a keyboard at someone.

Yup. It made perfect sense to me. Just like I always get my news from Bjarne. No other source is worth it. OK, maybe Anders, but just for the Turbo news. 
I guess it might have originally just been the internal style guide that every company has, but I really don't see their point in publishing it.
