Since 2008, vulnerability has left apps and hardware open to remote hijacking. It's only been there since 2008. I'm sure no one is using it.

Guess I must be one of the lucky ones. My W10 PC installed that update last week, and it hasn't touched my default applications or file associations.

Nope - Firefox. And VLC as the default media player.
And it's an upgrade from 8.1, not a clean install.
The defaults haven't changed since I set them when I upgraded.

I updated lastnight, and had a one off change of my pdf reader from foxit to edge when I opened a pdf. It stayed fixed after I changed it back, and nothing else was changed.

The most annoying change is Search Bing is now permanent in the context menu in Edge when you highlight text.
