I’m pleased to report that the last major ballot was completed: A few hours ago, the C++17 DIS (Draft International Standard) ballot came back with 100% approval, 23 editorial comments, and no technical comments. Insert your choice of "Why isn't my feature in there?" or "Why doesn't my compiler support it yet?" here.
Or even both, if you're cranky.

Still no concepts or modules yet, and Visual C++ still lags in support.
Does that fit the bill?

No concepts? I assumed they would be in, considering Sutter's efforts since way back.

Sadly no - kicked out the long grass of C++ 20.

Yes, but with the exception of Intel's compiler, almost no-one uses any of the other C++ compilers listed. GCC and CLang are by far the widest used.

In order to better support external contributors to our open source projects, such as Kubernetes, AMP, or Dart, and to allow for more consistency across developer documentation, we're now making that style guide public. Google has documentation?

I'll give you a hint, they didn't use their CC number.

As the programming language field gets more crowded and developers use more languages in their code, Python and C# suffer from inherent limits. "Confusion - it's such a terrible shame"

Not that bad an article, at least the writer relativates the "popularity" polls by comparing two different ones. Also he rightly mentiones GO as a promising language.

I'll tell you why Python can't displace...
It's BS like this and this when migrating code from 2.x to 3.x.
My god, people, can't you design at least the core constructs of a language correctly? Operative word is "design", which clearly is a dead art/skill.
So now, I have to waste time fixing the things that are now broken because I'm using Python 3.x with some OSS code that was written for Python 2.x.
weeners should be sued. How wait. It's open source!
