Lucky you, our weekend was drowned in the rain. Saw a nice documentary about Australia by Simon Reeves some time ago, must say it's an impressive country !

And please enjoy yours!
The menu is sorted:
Prawn cocktails, with homemade bread.
Sous Vide turkey, with roast, Hasselback, and Dauphinoise potatoes; chestnut stuffing; roast sprouts with bacon and chestnuts; cauliflower and roasted onion purees; pigs in blankets.
Christmas pudding with cream.
Home made chocolates to follow ...
And the spreadsheet is up and running for when I need to do what...

Merry Christmas from 9800 ft up in the Colorado Rockies where it's 10 degrees with fresh snow like it should be. But I could do a beach today. That sounds nice

Based on what you started, I'll only approve of Top 10 lists that go from 0 to 9.
|
|
|
|

Sorry, but they have to run from 9 to 0: otherwise you get the "best" one first and there is no suspense.

Sorry, your list of things you hate is too short.
Please add 9 more.

This post will definitely make the list!

Binary or decimal?

If it were binary, it would be 2, and there are no "Top 2" lists that I know of.

This year here in Norway, we have had a maelstrom of something related: "Five ways you probably ruin your turkey when baking it", "These are the rule of etiquette that you probably are breaking", "The most common mistakes in Christmas cookie baking", "You have always lit your open fireplace in the wrong way", "Your way of cleaning the kitchen spreads bacteria"...
You are doing wrong absolutely everything that has to do with Christmas! The way you have been doing Christmas earlier, it really is a big surprise that anyone has enjoyed as much as a minute of it!
Actually, we have had all these "You have always been doing this in the wrong way" articles coming in a steady flow throughout the year (and most of last year). For this Christmas, we have seen reruns of a huge number of them, plus a large new crop of "You are doing it the wrong way!"
I am so sick of being told that I am doing absolutely everything the wrong way that I am mentally blocking it, refusing to read it as something like "pedagogical" or "friendly advice". Not the least because "the right way" much too often ends up with some product that I have to buy, that I never bought before, to do it "the right way".
