Oh no! I'm going to be under my desk for a long, long time.

I'd go even as far as to move my desk to a galaxy far, far away...

Next time (hopefully there won't be one, but you never know) try using "nslookup" which allows you to use different name servers to see where the problem lies.
By default nslookup uses your default nameserver - just type "nslookup" to start it and get the default, viz:
C:\Windows\System32>nslookup
Default Server: pi.hole
Address: 192.168.1.37 Now type in the host name that you are looking for
> www.ibm.com
Server: pi.hole
Address: 192.168.1.37
Non-authoritative answer:
Name: e7817.dscx.akamaiedge.net
Addresses: 2a02:26f0:d6:39e::1e89
2a02:26f0:d6:382::1e89
104.125.7.129
Aliases: www.ibm.com
www.ibm.com.cs186.net
outer-global-dual.ibmcom-tls12.edgekey.net Now change the name server to see if you get the same answer.
> server 8.8.8.8
Default Server: dns.google
Address: 8.8.8.8
> www.ibm.com
Server: dns.google
Address: 8.8.8.8
etc...
I hope that this helps.
P.S. you will notice that I use pi-hole https://pi-hole.net/[^] , if you don't already, you should do! Kills most adverts and dodgy sites.

Always check your DNS configuration.
Also, on that machine, do
nslookup host 8.8.8.8 -- A fixed name server (like one getting it correct)
nslookup host -- use your default name server
Doing this, you can slowly trace through every device to find it.
FWIW, we have had serious delays in CABLE MODEM Country where they can take 5-7 days for some clients.
And we have now started WEEKS in advance, lowering the TTL (cache time).
And then making the change Friday night. 98% is all good by Sunday. But those cable companies.
Anyways, this will eventually let you see who is getting it wrong.
And always check the hosts files (but you know that)
Finally, it sounds like you know to double check the ordering of your dns.

I am American, like a few others on this site, and others aren't Australian, so can you explain the CodeProject logo at the present.
Thank you.

They're just waking up now. Today is Australia's equivalent of July 4th. Bob is holding two mainstays of the Australian diet: a beer and a jar of Vegemite[^]. The logo also features an Australian flag and an Aussie Rules football[^].

What's worse than Vegemite? Marmite. What is Vegemite? Vegan Marmite...

I've been in 'Straya[^] for over 50 years and still can't stand the stuff.

There was this ad for Marmite a few years ago that implied that you're born either liking it or hating it.
The professional complainers got it withdrawn because it might imply racism or some such.

I have been going round and round in circles trying to get a (fairly) simple class to work with both foreach and Linq .Select , .Sum methods.
The foreach part has been working for hours.
But the Linq stuff? Nope, can't even get it to compile ... Time for a break, I've done this before and had no problems, so why the heck are you playing me up today?
I'll come back to it tomorrow, but I've had enough of useless google results and my head hurts.
This happen to you often?

Well, you know this programming thing is just a fad. Try Wordle.

I just did:
BEGAN - G+A Green, others Grey.
CIGAR - G + A + R Green, others Grey.
SUGAR - Five Green.
Lucky, lucky, lucky!

Spoiler alert!
SHEAR - S+A+R Green, other grey
SOLAR - ditto
SUGAR - All Green
Typical. I've played five times, and usually get it in three, yesterday's in four.
If you think 'goto' is evil, try writing an Assembly program without JMP.

Damn! Took me four tries today. I have only done one in three guesses, in the last 10 days.
Incidentally, I don't know if you saw it, but there was an article in The Telegraph last week with the headline "Physicists Crack Wordle". Apparently a physics professor and a Computer scientist inspected the web page's source and found the link to the 'secret' word list. Obviously extremely clever people.
