I'm currently working my way through Orville, having just finished Discovery (one episode a day on the computer Herself doesn't want to watch 'em* and it's not worth the cold shoulder to argue the point - pick your battles Griff!) and Enterprise is on my list, just not high on it.
* Discovery: "They aren't proper Klingons, I'm not watching any more" after episode one.
Orville: "That's just stupid" after episode one.

Did you never see Enterprise? Then look at the Vulcans in the pilot episode who listen to the Admiral's speech, just before they go on their first mission - to visit the Klingons.
I have lived with several Zen masters - all of them were cats.
His last invention was an evil Lasagna. It didn't kill anyone, and it actually tasted pretty good.

Orville wins hands down: the characters are better developed, the stories both interesting and amusing (even if they are reminiscent of old ST episodes which is kind of the point).
It is everything that Discovery should have been which takes itself way too seriously. And the Klingon redesign. WTF???
That being said, I am a died in the wool, life-long Trekker and would watch a cereal packet if it had a picture of the Enterprise on the back.
Keep your friends close. Keep Kill your enemies closer.

Is it irrational that we all respond to this imaginary thread?

Hi All,
I asked a question in Quick Answers a few days ago, I have solved it myself (with a little help from one of the softies at work). I was looking to mark the question as answered, add my solution to it (to help others looking... it was a bit of an elementary problem). However using the search box I can't locate it...

If there's no one providing, then I'd rather see a solution (detailed with explanation) to own question rather than leaving the question without answer. This would definitely help future readers finding solution to similar problem they have.

But it looks like you're just trying to increase your reputation.
Update the question with your solution instead.

I don't know how the reputation works for answering own's question. I haven't done it before and haven't asked any question at this point. Anyway, points are just numbers and it doesn't give you anything (perhaps respect). If you find out users that frequently do nonsense act like "frequently answering owns question and marking them" then feel free to report it to the admin and they will gladly evaluate that and do certain actions based on it.

This might work, but there's a big chance readers will overlook the answer to the question and perhaps they will find it even more confusing.

I don't know the others, but I do look at the timestamps.
I have marked as abusive some of those, but it was pretty obvious.
Question and I solved myself within 5 minutes several times froms ame user? and a solution in a cuple of lines = Abuse
Some hours / days between question and solution and a solution explained as it should... legitime own solving and no reports needed at all

If something has a solution... Why do we have to worry about?. If it has no solution... For what reason do we have to worry about?
Help me to understand what I'm saying, and I'll explain it better to you
Rating helpful answers is nice, but saying thanks can be even nicer.

Under your name, you should be able to see links to some areas. One of them is "My Questions" link.
