EDIT: and why does the page look so weird? There are no styles in the page I get.
What do you get when you cross a joke with a rhetorical question?

I am one of those people who usually spends more for higher quality when there is a choice. However, sometimes I knowingly buy something obviously cheap thinking I'll replace it soon with something better or, if cheap enough, the same thing (repeatedly.) Every now and then that cheap thing lasts. For example, when I moved once many years ago, the new place didn't have a gas hookup for the dryer, so I went out and bought the cheapest dryer I could find. My ex-wife is still using it and it works amazingly well.
I also have a plug in clock that tells time and has an alarm and that's it which I bought 30 years ago at college. I still use it.
What got this started, though, was taking my laundry down to the apartments laundry facility using a hamper with wheels. I figured the thing would last a few months or a year. It's now lasted three years and appears it will last another three.

Quote: Cheap junk that lasts At first I thought maybe you were referring to the post below about the US Citizen. It is cheap junk and the member and message are lasting way longer than they should.
There are only 10 types of people in the world, those who understand binary and those who don't.

You do know that all three of those things will now break down within a week, don't you?

I started getting stuff from UPS and FedEx this week. The Dart block was delivered to the shop today, and I have a crap-load of engine parts piling up in my garage.
Coming soon to a neighborhood nowhere near you - 427 cubic inches of gas-guzzling tire-frying earth-killing screw-the-UN-climate-monkeys-and-their-EPA-lap-dogs American muscle - OOO-RAH!

If so, I'd encourage you to go check out the brand new DevNet Zone at Cisco Live 2014 happening at the Moscone Center.
You might not think of Cisco and developers as being in the same basket, but recently they've really been working to build their developer outreach programs and open up their APIs for you all to play with.
CodeProject has wrangled some free Explorer passes to the event and if you live in San Francisco or are serious about visiting sometime between May 18 to 22 while the conference is on then fill out this quick reg form and we'll send you over instructions on how to claim your free pass: https://www.codeproject.com/ResearchLibrary/54/Free-Explorer-Pass-for-Cisco-Live[^]
Happy Friday all!
