I can't see the sun - it's been raining here for 24 hours or more now, and it's not due to stop until tomorrow.
The river at the bottom of the garden is "busy" - normally you can walk across it without getting wet - and it'll probably rise another meter or so if the rain gets heavier. Hopefully the town just downstream will be OK - it's been higher than it is now without flooding them.
The cat did not appreciate it.
Other than that, I'm fine: it's just another grey, soggy day in lockdown is all.

Right? I'm practically still drying off from the sheets of rain that were coming down last week, but we've had a few sunny days since. The air is still biting and cold but with some earmuffs it's simply ... brisk.
I've been able to resume my morning walks with my other half.

The neighborhood over here is looking like a swamp, especially the parts where new houses are being built. Hope the new neighbours like their swimming pools, it reminds me of an episode of "Location Location" where they showed a house with a swimming pool under the living room.
Luckily our plot seems to be well drained, no trouble here.

Hahaha. I'm not actually a fan of dilbert but it has it's moments. This one was good.

More obligatory Dilbert
Did you ever see history portrayed as an old man with a wise brow and pulseless heart, weighing all things in the balance of reason?
Is not rather the genius of history like an eternal, imploring maiden, full of fire, with a burning heart and flaming soul, humanly warm and humanly beautiful?

I recall an incident in which some colleagues had a video conference with execs, one calling for business attire. When they stood up at the end of the call, their shirts and ties were revealed to be complemented by Hawaiian shorts.

As for "complimented by" - obviously a jest on your part for an impossible scenario.

Today is a slow day. Amazon project of mine got put on hold, so today is more or less a monitor-the-systems kind of day.
On the bright side, I recently got some friends hooked on Factorio on PC, and that's been quite the adventure. Certainly makes my evenings a bit more exciting.

It's just that all the smog has been washed out of the air. Don't expect it to last...
In Israel, we have one day in autumn (fall for USians) when almost all commercial activity stops and the smog over Tel Aviv clears - the Day of Atonement (Yom Kippur). That is the only day of the year when it is barely possible to see the sea from where I live (about 30 km inland, 200 m above sea level).
