Totally agree.
I'm not sure how many cookies it makes to be happy, but so far it's not 27.

I can understand your mood after the year you've had.
To brighten your mood.
We have a cat.
We have a tree.
We have lametta (like a shredded tinsel) on said tree.
Said cat like lametta.
We call the cat tinkle butt at xmas because he likes to eat lametta.
Then we have to chase the cat around the house because it usually doesn't always come all the way out by itself.

I have young children, so this time of year is fun for me. The train I set up around the tree has certainly seen better years though. I've given up on keeping the track together and the train upright.

My wife and I haven't finished decorating yet - this weekend. We don't use tinsel because our cat would eat the stuff.
Tinsel is nothing more than confetti and should be banned.

... and I just realized by checking my email this morning that I apparently ordered five copies of Windows 10 and three XBoxes during the night.

That's a perfectly normal side effect.
Don't worry about it, unless an order for PS4's creeps in.

I think an accepted order for a PS5 would be even more creepier.

Yep, this probably explains why they put a free Clippy poster in the order.

I had my shot too. I woke up with a cardboard box full of Windows Vista CDs on my doorstep. Must've been a prototype vaccine.

Vista, CDs, that is wrong on so many levels

Only start to worry if you sign a partition to bring back Clippy.

I have an image of Clippy popping up on your screen with
"It appears that you meant to say 'petition'. Can I help you with that?"
If you can't laugh at yourself - ask me and I will do it for you.

You realize this means you'll also be able to go back to your 6 meter social distancing.
|
|
|
|

Yes, the 2 meter was a bit too close to my taste.
Actually, I did not get the vaccine (it was only for the Microsoft plot joke) and will probably not get it before July - France is *a bit* late on track.

GWBasic predated windows. VB4 was mostly just GWBasic with a code generator. The code generator for Windows had gotten fairly good by that time. When they got to VB6 they had added a lot of object oriented features. Where did VB5 stand in this evolution. Was it closer to 4 or 6?
So many years of programming I have forgotten more languages than I know.

I’d say it was closer to 6. 3 and 5 stand out for me as the best versions of VB (others can add the joke they desire here). 4 was an OLE-ification, and 6 was the attempt at web. (And 5 was the addition of classes)
