Basically, Trumps characterization of NZ's 11 new cases in 2 days as a "massive outbreak". His typical bloviating bag of non-specifics and fear marketing in an effort to make himself look better than everyone else.
|
|
|
|
|
He's a politician, so he bloviates, like 99% of them. We'd be better off without the whole lot of them.
|
|
|
|
|
No, he's not a politician. He's a failure of a businessman trying to pass himself off as a non-politician, "tell it like it is savior" of the extreme right.

If something has a solution... Why do we have to worry about?. If it has no solution... For what reason do we have to worry about?
Help me to understand what I'm saying, and I'll explain it better to you

Nelek wrote: I don't known if he was the one re-building the empire or only the visible face of it Given his net worth, I'd say it really doesn't matter. Sometimes filing for bankruptcy is part of the game plan. People have been known to use that to their advantage.

What is his net worth?
He said $9B or $10B back in 2016 when he announced. I seriously doubt it's anywhere close to there, but instead probably around $1B. Of course, I have no proof of this, just like he refuses to give any proof himself.

6 times out...200?
You do realize each building is a separate corporate entity, right? Best practices, especially in real estate. Don't bring the whole organization down for one casino or hotel or whatever failing.

silly person ! - WTF do you think that despite his original promise to release them (but with an invalid excuse not to) he's keeping his tax forms from being released?
Remember - he's a full-time braggart: he only hides what he thinks will make him look bad.
Really! Really! Really !

Yeah, and every other failed business he tried.
How are those Trump Steaks?
Trump Shuttle? Dead in 2 years.
"A" casino? How about The Taj Mahal, Trump Marina, and Trump Plaza - 3 times. The remaining assets reorganized as Trump Entertainment Resorts, which itself bankrupted.
Trump magazine? Folded in 2 years.
Trump Mortgage? Started in 2006 and folded in 2007.
GoTrump.com? A travel booking site. Yeah, started in 2006, dead in 2007.
Trumpnet? Never got off the ground.
Trump University? We all know that ended.
Trump Vodka? An idea that other people don't seem to have a problem with succeeding in. Could it be that people know that Trump doesn't drink?
And that's not even the complete list...
Quote: Best practices, especially in real estate.
Is an excuse.
The only thing he has left is real estate and he nor his "empire" doesn't own half the buildings his name shows up on.
Trump is nothing more than a brand, and a brand that is being tarnished more and more on the world stage every time he opens his mouth.

Thomas Edison failed 10,000 times when trying to make the light bulb. what a loser!
|
|
|
|
|
False equivalency. A single instance of testing a filament for a light bulb is NOT a business.
Oh, and how many businesses did Edison bankrupt? Technically, one, in 1894:
"The phonograph was initially marketed as a business dictation machine. Entrepreneur Jesse H. Lippincott acquired control of most of the phonograph companies, including Edison's, and set up the North American Phonograph Co. in 1888. The business did not prove profitable, and when Lippincott fell ill, Edison took over the management. In 1894, the North American Phonograph Co. went into bankruptcy, a move which allowed Edison to buy back the rights to his invention."
Try again.

'politician' is just a task description nowadays, not a qualification. Anyone can be one, and in fact, all types of people try their hand at it. It's the go-to-job for anyone who hasn't learned a proper job but can still afford (to rent) a suit.
GOTOs are a bit like wire coat hangers: they tend to breed in the darkness, such that where there once were few, eventually there are many, and the program's architecture collapses beneath them. (Fran Poretto)

But few people get it. I remember an interview with Thomas Sowell in which he said, not a direct quote, but close: "We expect our presidents to be economists, generals, spiritual leaders, businessmen, philanthropists, educators...it would be funny if it wasn't so tragic."

Dave Kreskowiak wrote: "tell it like it is savior" He has taught us all a lesson with that concept. If you tell it like it is and, in fact, it isn't, then tell something else. His true believers are just that - believers. "Double Think is real" - there was a song, once upon a time: "Cult of Personality[^]".
I remember the background video[^]- Sometimes it was showing the band - other times . . . . let's just say "other things" (SFW).
Next step: HOUSES OF WORSHIP WITH A LARGE 'T' ON TOP.*

Well, no. What he does is makes people look at things.
He says "massive outbreak" and everyone runs to say it was only a double handful...which caused the country to be shut down.
And we all laugh at NZ.
Everyone falls for it every single time.

The usual...take Trump out of context, lie about what he actually said then use absolute figures to compare a country with 5m people to one with 328m.
