Happy Birthday Marc,
I hope you can say I don't get it[^] too

If something has a solution... Why do we have to worry about?. If it has no solution... For what reason do we have to worry about?
Help me to understand what I'm saying, and I'll explain it better to you

OriginalGriff wrote: Have a great one! I intend to! In fact this whole week so far has had little mini pre-celebrations with friends. Last night was an awesome dinner (split an omelette, lobster mushrooms, kale, onions and fennel sauteed together, for desert chocolate coconut milk ice cream with a touch of brandy splashed over the ice cream) and movie night - yes, Star Trek Discovery, I know some of you don't like it but I absolutely love it and I introduced my friend to it who is a Trekkie and she is loving it too! And she frosted my birthday cake (which I had baked that morning) - chocolate, with cherries and vanilla extract and just yum!
The previous day we did a really fun thing - we "wrote" a fairy tale story (didn't finish it yet) together, we both took turns moving the story along, inventing it right then and there - it was an amazing free-flowing spontaneous invention -- reminded me a bit of a good D&D game with a really good DM.
Last Saturday, moi and the same friend (I seem to be seeing her a lot!) went to the Farmer's Market and got some potato garlic rosemary bread, some goat cheese, and these amazing potstickers made fresh right at the market and spontaneously decided to have a picnic under the shade of a big tree with a view of the rolling Berkshire (MA) hills. Idyllic!
So yes! An amazing birthday week!

Happy birthday Marc, glad to see you're having a good one.
I'm not sure how many cookies it makes to be happy, but so far it's not 27.

Congrats Marc!
I think you took some of my happiness away since I've been having a Crystal Reports issue, or rather my customer has the issue.
One and a half day later and it seems to work.
That still doesn't bring back my cat who ran away this week (second this year!)
I'm guessing there are too many cats in the neighborhood (my neighbors have five cats already!) that scare my cats away...
Hopefully this one comes back as I really liked him (and he liked me too, so I don't know why he's gone off)
Well, at least one of us is having a good time

Quite likely, especially if it's male.

Why is it that when switching back from a full screen program (like a game,) all of the other (non-full screen) application windows are screwed up?
They will switch monitors, some of them will be maximized when before, they weren't. And most of them will be resized and moved seemingly randomly.
The difficult we do right away...
...the impossible takes slightly longer.

I don't know, but it has always been like that, and (extrapolating from the past) it seems like it always will be.
It usually helps to pick the "borderless windowed"-mode (if it exists) instead of "exclusive fullscreen". There are even some tools to force that mode onto games that don't have it built-in.

That's a good idea. I think I'll try that.

Games can run optimally with higher FPS in "exclusive fullscreen" mode. For me, I do not bother because the maximum refresh rate of my monitor is only 60.
