Well - doesn't that mean that if you want to play with this that you must buy an apple device?

Never heard of it before: I use AccuWeather which has a minute-by-minute very local rain forecast. Handy if you have washing out on the line ...
The BBC weather app is pretty good as well, but only resolves to "50% chance this hour" and gets increasingly unreliable as the hours mount up (as is normal for weather forecasts)

On android, I use one that's built into the clock I like. It can draw from Met.no, Foreca, or Open Weather, but they all say pretty much the same thing ("it's cold and windy, and will probably rain" -- and that's on a good day).
I don't see the point in hunting for a super-accurate one, because none of them are -- although the Buienalarm [^] radar app is pretty damned good at telling precisely when it's going to rain (in NL; it doesn't work so well elsewhere).

I have an iPhone but it's because my company bought it. It works well enough. But I don't get the hype over apple stuff.

My first job in 84 was programming on an Apple II and I could see then what was going on and never owned another.
And you're right they don't need my help there are plenty of people that do buy their products.

Add another one... I had an iPhone (my old work phone) but the battery started to do silly things. 30% more of what they asked me for replacing the battery I got my current phone. (And in the meantime the iPhone 4s and iOS 6.x I had has been sorted out of so many things, it additionally was not worth to repair it)

Maybe it's part of a nefarious super-strategy to buy all the best apps and remove them from Android. Then people will have no choice but to buy iStuff instead...

It's purty. And fairly accurate.
My guess as to why they're dropping Android is that the plan is to scrap the standalone app, and merge it into Apple Maps (Something Google Maps doesn't currently have, so increasing value for the Apple product. Oh, and lock-in.)

Good news: our survey got some views from "normal" people (see here[^].
Bad news: this is what they concluded from the survey:
Developers Are Distracted
Developers working from home in the COVID-19 crisis are facing more distractions than ever— from the pantry to family. Keep this in mind when offering advertising and content to developers. Their already fragmented attention is juggling new and different distractions.

What an idiot he is.
Quote: Their already fragmented attention
Clearly, he has no idea how focussed an attention you need in order to do the job properly, and how external distractions can wreck your complex train of thought...
On the other hand, if that reduces the number of ads I get targeted at me, it's a bonus!

Exactly, that's what got me the most :p why are we being insulted?

One screen and 'what day is it?' are definitely a problem for me.
No real interaction with people is also up there. You may have noticed that I've only been posting on here from two weeks ago!!! This has become my 'virtual having a chat in the kitchen'.
Oh yeah! And having to remote in to a Windows PC from my Macbook has it's keyboard challenges.
