Do you know what the best thing about UDP jokes are?
I don’t care if you get them.

I am not going to acknowledge that.

When I was growin' up, I was the smartest kid I knew. Maybe that was just because I didn't know that many kids. All I know is now I feel the opposite.

As long as we're doing UDP humor
"To get to the other side."
"Why did the chicken cross the road?"
Did you ever see history portrayed as an old man with a wise brow and pulseless heart, weighing all things in the balance of reason?
Is not rather the genius of history like an eternal, imploring maiden, full of fire, with a burning heart and flaming soul, humanly warm and humanly beautiful?

And for the other flavor...
1: "Hi, I'd like to hear a TCP joke."
2: "Hello, would you like to hear a TCP joke?"
1: "Yes, I'd like to hear a TCP joke."
2: "OK, I'll tell you a TCP joke."
1: "Ok, I will hear a TCP joke."
2: "Are you ready to hear a TCP joke?"
1: "Yes, I am ready to hear a TCP joke."
2: "Ok, I am about to send the TCP joke that will last 10 seconds, has two characters, does not have an explicit setting, and ends with a punchline."
1: "Ok, I am ready to get your TCP joke that will last 10 seconds, has two characters, does not have an explicit setting, and ends with a punchline."
2: "I'm sorry, your connection has timed out. Hello, would you like to hear a TCP joke?"

After spending a whole lot of time debugging an embedded TCP/IP stack a while ago, I can testify that this is the most succinct-yet-complete description of TCP I've ever read.

I'm not overly happy with my clue today, but I just couldn't come up with anything else that fit the theme...

Daniel Pemberton - The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance[^]
This was one of last weeks contenders for SOTW, but didn't make it.
This week it makes a comeback even though I've already finished the series.
I really like this soundtrack and especially the main theme.
Of course it's heard throughout the series and there are a few variations on it.
It's pretty epic, like Hans Zimmer epic.
It even reminds me a bit of Time from Inception.
I can really recommend watching the series as well

Yeah, I am finishing up Altered Carbon (a little late on this one), and going to start The Dark Crystal next. Can't wait.

Haven't seen Altered Carbon myself, but I've heard good things about it.
It's in my watch list that I could do the rest of my life with, but which is still growing anyway

[^] First impression: looks a little more legible than Consolas; inter-line spacing a little greater. fyi: it's a TTF font.
edit: the lower case "l" which looks like an "S" trying to turn into a snake: that's a deal-breaker. back to Consolas. whoops: just visited Insider News, and found this was mentioned there [^].
I'll leave this up because there is no comment by anyone actually using it on the IN thread, and there's been some content about vision problems here, recently.
