I'm gonna tell you the same thing I told musefan.
Quote: This is very bad... you should read Harry Potter. Anyone who asks me for book recommendation (or doesn't) gets recomended Harry Potter. After that The Secret Adversary from Agatha Christie, I could go on, but you get the gist!

I did try to read the first Potter but I couldn't get on with it. I liked many of the ideas but just couldn't get on with her prose style. It's quite rare that I don't finish a book, but I abandoned it about a third of the way through.
I did read all of Agatha Christie's output many, many years ago and was quite fond of them at the time.
My own literary recommendation to anyone would be Wodehouse with a side of Wodehouse, washed down with an extra splash of Wodehouse.
Whenever you find yourself on the side of the majority, it is time to pause and reflect. - Mark Twain

I never said everybody is cool, I just said the overall information processing of human beings is incredible.

Don't argue with idiots, they will drop you to their level and beat you with experience

If something has a solution... Why do we have to worry about?. If it has no solution... For what reason do we have to worry about?

Talk for yourself, grandpa!
What happened to the times when we enjoyed being idiots and script kiddies ourselves?
I have lived with several Zen masters - all of them were cats.
His last invention was an evil Lasagna. It didn't kill anyone, and it actually tasted pretty good.

Did you ever win any of them? Or did it just get more acrimonious until someone just stopped responding?

There may have been times when I was (am?) an idiot, but never a script kiddie!

I never was a script kiddie in the narrow sense. They were not invented yet. But what do you think the guys at the first newly opened computer stores thought when some kid walked in and told them to throw away their BASIC and get a good assembler.

When I was a young idiot I had no chance to hide behind anonymity - embarrassment was public and face-to-face...
Now, that I'm an old idiot I behave myself (probably because of the experience)...

I'm offended by the lack of racial minorities in that video!
There's only one black man and he's a big pastor.
This video is clearly racist.

You are not allowed to use the term "racist" in the Lounge. Move that kind of talk to the Soapbox. This place is only for Elephants that eat bacon, and tell really, really bad jokes.
