Mine doesn't - it copes with 1080x1920, 1680 x 1050, and 1280 x 1024 at the same time perfectly.
The only thing I do get is the HDMI connected one (HDMI, VGA, and DVI in that order) occasionally goes blank for a split second when I plug the hoover in ... maybe a loose cable or a poor fit connector.

glennPattonWork wrote: Win10 seems to have difficulty with multiple resolution monitors
With the initial release(s), maybe so, but lately if an update changes my monitor layout/resolution at the login prompt, then it tends to manage to revert back to what it should be on its own by the time I've logged in and reached the desktop. Of course, YMMV.
I'm running off of 3 monitors each using a different resolution: 4K TV (3820x2160), 24" monitor in portrait mode (1200x1920), and a 27" monitor (1920x1080).
As mentioned, with the initial releases, it just about never got it right after updates, but seems to have settled and I haven't really had to deal with that for quite a while now.
All bets are off when there's a video driver update however. Which may be why I haven't had any problem recently...

it's normal to detect a windows update has been installed by the things that have gone missing or stop working.

I'm curious, how does root come into it?

Weeding dandelions out of the verge a few years ago, neighbour saw what I was doing. His comment: "If I dug the dandelions out there'd be nothing left." I had to agree...

Had a look at Denx, their tool chain doesnt install, freescale, dont look like they do one for this CPU.
Xilinx perhaps?
Does anyone know of one?
Thanks in advance
--edit--
The ELDK from Denx is hosed:
"Error: Can't read rootfs tarball "/home/matts/elk/targets/powerpc/core-image-minimal-dev-generic-powerpc.tar.gz /home/matts/elk/targets/powerpc/core-image-minimal-generic-powerpc.tar.gz /home/matts/elk/targets/powerpc/core-image-minimal-mtdutils-generic-powerpc.tar.gz /home/matts/elk/targets/powerpc/core-image-minimal-xenomai-generic-powerpc.tar.gz"
"
And I am not the only one: ELDK installation problem[^]
Seems 5.5.3 and higher is broken.
Weird, is no one using it?
Anyway, I will try 5.5.2 as this guy did.
Kinda sucks though.

Trying to build a U-boot for an MPC8313 powerpc CPU Rage. There doesnt seem to be much out there for this platform. The closest I got was Denx, but the tool chain wont install (in fact their documentation is out of synch with what is on their ftp site, and the params their install script expects), so I was just wondering if there are any others about.

All clear, but this is only a step and not the finality, is it ? Are you running some projects in the embedded world ?

My coffee machine is broken, and it's 6:25 in the morning, so there's nowhere I can buy a new one!
And I live in forest/arable country, so there are no coffee shops local places to get take-away coffee!
My only consolation is that I can say "I told you so!" to the missus, who, despite my protests, threw away the "sit on top of the cup" coffee-filter holder -- but that doesn't get me coffee!

Make the coffee Turkish-style:
- Open the packet of grounds (or the capsule)
- Pour the grounds into your mug
- Boil the kettle (or boil water in a saucepan...)
- As soon as the water boils, pour it over the grounds
- Stir, and leave the grounds to settle
- Add sugar / sweetener, if needed, stir again, and leave the grounds to settle
- Drink, leaving the last bit with the grounds
It may not be what you're used to, but it'll give you your caffeine fix.
