Rome did not build an empire by concentrating on making their beds. Rome built an empire by enslaving and/or killing anyone who opposed them.
Their empire lasted longer than your bed is likely to last.
Freedom is the freedom to say that two plus two make four. If that is granted, all else follows.

One needs but believe the bed is made and it is made.
One masters oneself in this way, and thus is not mastered by others.
(Especially those telling them how to master themselves).

Where I come from we call pensioners Twirlies.
This is because their free bus passes kick in at 9:30 AM and every bus between 9 and 9:30 gets a huge queue of them, each one flashing their pass and innocently asking "am I too early?" in the hope that the driver will let them on (hint: "computer says 'no'").
Credit where it's due, though, they'll all come back for another go the next day and the day after and the day after that ...

Just going to put it out there, but this clue is awful... I can't see how "a bit previous" would ever be a synonym for "too early".
Just some friendly feedback is all

Just out of curiosity: Has anybody here seen the 2013 remake? Is it worth my time?

I don't remember watching it, which is a bad sign: chances are I watched a bit of the first episode and decided "this is rubbish". The critics at the time seem to have agreed: Yes, Prime Minister panned by UK critics - BBC News[^] and it never reached a second season ...

So, did it deserve a second chance?
Original setup was brilliant though!
|
|
|
|
|
Nope, don't think so.
I suspect the original was just so well done that the remake couldn't live up - the reviews said it stole most of the jokes from the original but didn't pull them off as well.

It's a rare combo to have both script and delivery. 'Yes Minister' certainly had both.
